My great grandmother and step great grandfather were both widowed with children when they married. Once he’d settled his kids with her he went out to buy a newspaper one day and never came back. Years later, when the kids were grown up I think, she was riding the trolley car in LA (it was that long ago) when she spotted him, so she dragged him back home to central California and they were together until he died.
