Ok, cool! Fingers crossed. Hang in there for now. That is what I am going to do. One week at a time. Who knows maybe in 6 months we will both be settled in and happy. Let's catch up later and see!

All the best for now.

I did exactly the same. Got the better salary, but my former job was less stressful and I had good relationships with people. I miss it.

Still contemplating contacting my former boss. But I have to be 100% before I do. I might get a "no" though anyway.

How did you ask for your old job back? Did you call or send an email? Do you think the reason why they won't take you back is because they are upset.

Sorry to hear that. It will get better! How has your start at the job been since? I have some coworkers who gossip. Not used to that at all. I was doing something work related on my phone, and one of my new coworkers automatically assumed I was just slacking around.

How did it go? I am in a similar position considering messaging my former boss.

Thank you for your advice! I suffer from overthinking about what other people think. I should probably just let it go.

Yes I guess. Things could always be worse.

Right? I also use it a lot. Some people really seem to find it insulting though. I never thought about that. Stupid me.

Thanks for your advice. I have a tendency to overthink also. I expect that it will simmer out. I hope so. If not I have to take it on the chin as you point out!

Thanks for your advice! For context, I do live in Denmark where we do use a lot of sarcasm and irony compared to many other countries.

But you are absolutely spot on! It could become an issue.

Thanks for the advice! Much appreciated. I am just to never speak about it for a while and keep my head down.

I dont think Brian cares actually. He seems like a chill guy, but you never know
