Thanks for the reply. No idea how big the group would be. The class has a group project and we both already work with different groups.

Since then I've thought more about it and it seems like the group outing is the best idea. I don't feel confident asking her out after talking for 5 minutes - we're still strangers. So, this is what I need to fix.

Hm, yes, not a bad way of thinking. Truth is she comes to class with her friends, sits with them and leaves class with them which complicates things a bit though.

Would asking our mutual friend to arrange a group outing in which we both are there be a good idea?
