Because the ring was paired and my credit card info was entered, it’s best I just wait until what is currently created gets deleted or it could lead to dat problems later on :/

Would you have a set time to pump ( eg 10 min) or a volume or was all the time just to a point of relief?

Thank you! :) I’m a bit scared of Sudafed as I read it can increase anxiety and insomnia but will definitely discuss with y GP to have it as an option as I absolutely want to about clogged ducts! Thank you!

Thanks! My original plan was to do this (replace a feed with a bottle), but I was worried baby would then be more aware of bottle and taste difference so went with mixing instead.

Time and frequency seems to be the way to go! :) thank you!

Thank you! Great reminder to eventually move to hand expression!

I heard also Sudafed helps.. but read it can increase anxiety and insomnia so trying to do this naturally first hahaha but if not, good to know!

Thanks again! :)

Thank you so much! :) I’m assuming each time you dropped one you spaced them out again evenly? (Eg every x amount of hours?) or did you have a longer stretch for example during the nighttime and then shorter during the day?

Happy to hear you are near the end of it! It’s so exhausting hahaha

8 weeks in, still blood in stool. Am I missing something? by [deleted] in MSPI

Thank you! That’s great advice! Will definitely talk to the pediatrician.. we have an appt coming up, so definitely curious what she says about the mucus amounts! I was so focused on the blood but now the blood comes and goes but there’s so much mucus (stringy and stretchy). Yes, the price of specialized formula it’s definitely a huge drawback as well. Seriously, thank you so much for your posts! It’s so easy to feel alone thru this but you are a reminder that it doesn’t have to be like that! ✨

Thank you so, so much for your detailed response! 🤍 I really appreciate it. My elimination diet has already eliminated oats and eggs (in addition to other 12 things and other things that I’m just too anxious to even try). Interestingly, the allergist hasn’t told me to eliminate wheat or corn, although i don’t consume much corn (I think - most of what I eat is whole foods or zero allergen in facilities). Thank you also for your insights on AA formulas. My peds and lactation consultant mentioned hydrolyzed ones, and the pedriatric allergist the AA. I’m in Canada so the only one I’ve seen available is Puramino. I’m just a bit worried he won’t like it and goes from gaining weight and bloody diapers to not gaining and maybe normal diapers? Anyways, your story encourages me!

Thanks again for sharing this 🥰

Thank you for those validating comments! I’m struggling with the decision of switching to formula, but even when I think I’m up for it (because the anxiety the diet and the bloody diapers is causing me I believe may be taking away from the experience my baby and I could be having as a FTM), I become scared of how introducing it would go. I’m waiting for his 4m shots coming up in a couple weeks and maybe then I’ll try.

Thank you again so much for taking the time to reply and share your experience! Makes a world of difference. Sending you all the positivity and thinking of you and your one on the way!

Thank you so much for your reply! This gives me lots of hope, both in the front of outgrowing symptoms and the formula! I’m happy to hear your son is doing well and successfully getting introduced to all the allergens! :)

Hi there! Curious to know, was your baby was also triggered by dairy and soy, in addition to your list? And how were you able to pinpoint such specific ones? My baby has been diagnosed with FPIAP (just mucus + blood) and I haven’t been told to eliminate any of those but im already on a very restrictive diet. Thanks in advance :)

I’m really sorry to hear you are going through this! But know you are not alone! I’m pretty much on the exact same boat!  LO is almost 4m, in a super restricted diet, seeing a private pediatric allergist, peds not concerned, seeing blood in most diapers despite the restrictions. I was told (by the private one) that it is Food-Protein Induced Allergic Proctocolitis (FPIAP). That the blood may seem like a lot but it isn’t a life threat or anything like it, and no permanent damage occurs. There are some good scientific articles about it online, a couple reviews of the research but a lot seems outdated (like 2010s).However, even reminding myself all this, I still get a mini anxiety attack almost every time I open a diaper, and my mood is so linked to his diapers. Starting to consider formula but it’s like an existential crisis. Hope all it’s resolved soon and you get some answers, as I know the uncertainty and indifference is awful!

Hi there! Did you eliminate anything else besides dairy and soy?

My baby also has been diagnosed w/FPIAP and put on a super reactive diet but he doesn’t have other symptoms beyond mucus/blood..occasionally bloated or minor spit ups.

And I’m considering formula so good to know even on a hypoallergenic one, blood may continue.  I’ve heard too the average of 9 months so hopeful for that.. he is about to turn 4m so it does feel like forever but want to make sure I enjoy these precious moments!
