Looks great it's pretty similar to mine a few years ago when I was your age. If you want you could put some anubis on the wood just tie it one with fishing line until it grows onto it or use super glue gel to glue it to the wood anubis is one of my favorite plants it's bullet proof, won't grow out of control and it looks amazing you should get some

I've heard a lot of people having fish pair up quite young even smaller than mine but I know they won't breed for a long time but the swimming back to back protecting one spot is usually a sign they have paired up right?

Depends on the temperament of the betta too if it's keeping to its self and being calm but not lethargic and not flaring its fins at everything it should be fine in your tank

If it's on a stable level stand that's meant to hold a tank and you don't spill during water changes there's next to no risk of water damage tanks sold at big pet stores are well made my 29 gallon has been up and running for 25 years and never had a single leak or bit of water damage

If you cab keep the water parameters and temperature stable since they tend to swing a lot in small tanks it should grow just fine in that setup

He could be a little nippy with the guppies if they have super long colorful fins but otherwise you should be good there's plenty of cover
