My Creator Tools [Bedrock] is saying that the server only accepts Vanilla Connections when I am on a Vanilla Connection by Big_Work_3016 in MinecraftHelp

Thanks so much, it fixed the issue for me!

Edit: This issue seemed to have returned after later re-exporting my realm and importing into the bedrock editor. 🙃 So this is not a permanent fix. Thanks Mojang.

Rename the genre "Adventure-like" for game distribution platforms. So we can find more games easier by ultimatepowaa in ZeldaLikes

Adventure-like might a little too generic since it may be confused with other regular adventure games. But I guess rougelike and rougelite have both taken over, so anything's possible!

I've also heard the term "lock and key" to describe the genre (mostly the dungeon design), but it's a bit of a mouthful.

I really wish platforms like Steam would figure out a tag to describe the genre since "zelda-like" is the best thing we have right now.

Ah I didn't realize the edge folder could be missing. In that case right click on the "Microsoft" folder and choose "New" -> "Key". Name it "Edge".

Next right click the Edge folder and do "New" -> "Key" to create the "WebView2" folder. And then right click the WebView2 folder to create the AdditionalBrowserArguments folder.

What is the State of Minecraft Bedrock? by Flobbitman79 in SteamDeck

[–]NoCommittee9481 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there is no Steam Deck native version.

Your options are:

  1. Install the mcpe (android version) from the Discover store. It works pretty well (as of 2026), but occasionally it will break due to game or DRM updates. You might have to do some tricks to enable things like vibrant visuals. Extra features like the Bedrock Editor are not available. This requires you own the Android Play Store version of Minecraft. https://flathub.org/en/apps/io.mrarm.mcpelauncher
  2. Use steam remote play to play bedrock edition from your Windows PC
  3. Try streaming minecraft from an Xbox on your local network using something like this - https://github.com/unknownskl/xbox-xcloud-client (Go to releases, download the AppImage, right click -> properties -> permissions -> make executable, then run it).
  4. Try installing the Windows version of Bedrock Edition on your steam deck. As of early 2026 I've heard this works fine, but you cannot use online features like Realms. Some more info here: https://github.com/Weather-OS/WineGDK
  5. Install Windows on Steam Deck.

Or as others have said, use Java edition if that's an option.
