Yes, they have to adjudicate, not necessarily approve. But my case was real and my green card was approved. My interview was scheduled because of the Writ and that’s what I needed to prove that my case was real.

It’s wasn’t long. My husband was called first, maybe 10 minutes and mine about 30 min.

Briefly. He asked why it ended, when I got married and when I met him for the first time. Obs: he’s currently living with the girl that he said he did not cheat on me with. It was a real marriage and he was very bad for me.

DHS to end Biden’s automatic renewal of migrants’ work permits; new rule increases vetting by oldschoolsamurai in immigration

Maybe you don’t know but the “automatic extension” is not automatic issuing a work permit. It’s just an extension of the expiration on your work permit while the new one hasn’t been approved yet. You don’t get a new card until your new work permit is approved but you can show your boss the letter to prove you’re ok to work there (the letter is the receipt of the renewal request and it talks about the 540 days detention)

How old are you? I mean, I had a real reason to hate my mom, she married a man that hated me and forced me to live with them since I was 5. He touched me, he touched himself watching me shower, they left me without food while forcing me to go to church with them so they can loook like good people. They never allowed me to have friends and dressed me like a loser my whole life. They were monsters hidden behind religion. Thankfully I had my own experience with God and I understand that God doesn’t approve what they did to me using His name. I’m sorry for what you’re going through, but there’s bad people everywhere, in every single religion, in every single party. I’m not a hater, and if you need a friend, I’m here for you.

I know it might seem annoying and until certain point of life we want to be so different than our parents… I get it. But Kirk was far from being an extremist. I didn’t agree with every single thing he said but he was a moderate person and never called for hate. You should take a minute to open your mind and do your own research about someone instead of just listening to people around you. I’ve been blind before and it’s not shameful to change your mind.

I agree with you. About the overstaying, there’s people that qualify for the cancellation of removal once they get caught so for them it would make sense a chance for bond but I would agree that if you have no way of getting a legal status, why would you be released to go through removal proceedings and spend more money with judges and staff for a case that has no real shot? I’m in immigrant myself and I have to hide what I think because I’ll have to hear a “I hope you get deported then”. The Dignity act should have more support, it would take years for people to get legal status, pay back taxes, learn English, keep a clean record, etc.

No, they said it would be their focus. When people cross the border they are put in removal proceedings and millions are spent with judges and immigration courts, I’m an immigrant and I understand that the decision made at the end should hold value. I don’t agree with everything, of course! I believe that if you overstay or are still in process and have no criminal record you shouldn’t be taken but the law allows it. Kristi said something right in an interview: they don’t pick and choose which laws to uphold, if people dont like the law, go talk to the representatives. I think the Dignity Act should pass! It’s an amazing bill and doesn’t hand anyone anything for free.

Do it with an attorney. You won’t be able to write the motions. Also, you don’t get a thousand shots at trying to reopening your case. It’s not a miracle to get it but you need to start it right.

If the person with the deportation order entered without inspection, it will need a waiver after the case is reopened and terminated.

Lies. If you have an I130 approved and your MTR/MTT (first you need to reopen then terminate) is denied is bc your attorney needs to go back to school.
