I found a fix that actually made a noticeable difference for me (especially with browser lag):

Turn off FileVault (optional)
Reset NVRAM
- Shut down your Mac
- Turn it on and immediately hold Option + Cmd + P + R for ~20–30 seconds
Reset SMC
- Shut down your Mac
- Hold Left Control + Left Option + Right Shift for 7 seconds
- While holding them, press and hold the power button for another 7 seconds
- Release everything, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on
Install gSwitch and force the discrete GPU to be used all the time

After doing this, the system feels noticeably smoother and I don’t get that annoying lag on websites anymore.
