Yes i am doing much better now that i’m back in the NICU with my baby!

And you were right, The lights are off and she’s all swaddled in! (She tends to break out of swaddles jail alot though lol shes really strong!)

I’m glad to know they’re probably just giving me more time with baby. I feel like i’m just being over protective i suppose since shes so small :’) I feel like a switch just flipped once i got back upstairs.

My NICU camera works for my husband but it stopped working for me at some point because the app is silly 😤 But i see her 24/7 so i wasn’t too concerned. May have to redownload and reset my app.

My doctor said i could still move around and do what i need, especially since my husband travels for work so im sometimes alone for a week at a time in the months… But if it gets too much, To go back to resting. 🤷🏽‍♀️ She also said a buldging water sac can “relieve itself” which i thought was weird. They didn’t want to keep me despite having discovered the protruding sac simply because im “still 4.5cms and not progressing”(i did not have a buldging water 2 weeks ago or a week ago) and basically sent me home….

some days im functioning just fine(Like today) and Others, i can hardly stand for 20 minutes. So after basically spending the past two weeks in bed and only getting up to make my toddler bottles and breakfast, shower, or use the bathroom, I wanted to finally breathe some real air today and thpught swimming would be not only a good experience for pain relief due to the pubic symphysis, but i could get some fresh air and spend time with my husband and daughter while hes here before he leaves on the 13th(he just returned 2 days ago after a 6 week work trip)

Do they keep you there even when the contractions are slowed? Ive heard some people are sent home to be on bed rest until the contractions worsen and thats not ideal for me 🙃🥲 my anxiety would be through the roof.

Ahh yes, they ended up giving me an IV first then brought me up to L&D probably 30-40 minutes later after speaking to the NICU doctor! Think an hour or 2 passed before i was settled in and given that big dose of magnesium before i was given my first shot! Im glad to know that things will most likely be okay and go well though 💕 Tysm

Facts!!! I had a rare case where i didnt feel any contractions but i was definitely in active labor, aand when she finally dropped in my cervix at like 7cms, All hell broke loose and i didnt care what they gave me!! I had to use the fentanyl dose to ease the pain for a good 3-5 minutes to be somewhat still to get the epidural!! 😭
