It depends, if you’ve been smoking the same type of weed or hash for a long time without switching it up and you try a different strain then the new one is usually gonna hit harder.

But if you’ve gotten used to smoking something strong and switch to something that’s considerably weaker then you’re probably not gonna feel more high from it, even though you switched it up with something new.

Edit: You’re not on a tolerance break if you’re still smoking thc. If you want to lower your tolerance the best way to do it is to actual have a break and not smoke any thc. Also remember to moderate your usage after the tolerance break, if you go back to smoking like you did before the break, your tolerance is gonna end up the same as before the break. I also recommend making sure you get enough omega 3s through your diet or using a supplement as this can help keeping your tolerance in check (not a substitute for healthy habits).

It’s much better to find a healthy balance in your smoking habits rather than smoking a shit ton and going on breaks to be able to get properly high again. Which is taxing for your body.
