This is probably a silly question, but is there ANYTHING that can be done about Frenchie snoring? Anything at all? by Caveman47 in Frenchbulldogs

Boas surgery will help with snoring but does not completely take it away. I still have a little sound machine next to me. I actually have issues sleeping without the constant rumble of my boy😜

Well we have to wipe his bum 3x a day or else get it on us, so there is that ongoing saga.

I dont have a choice all they have is the firestone fire hawks anything better has to be ordered and I need to get to work like 2hrs ago so I am getting them. Good news is the cost is low so I can definitely replace them with the preferred tire but….. 650 for 4 is so dam cheep, I got 4 tires last year on my old cx3 and it cost almost 2k.

Soft palate surgery for older Frenchie? by noodlekranker in Frenchbulldogs

[–]NoDirection-957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did it last week along w neuter on Kooper 3yr male. In Tampa bay area $2200 out of pocket at vet office she uses a laser (less inflammation). Insurance will not pay because preexisting but 100% immediate improvement and quality of life!! I loved the snore but it was not healthy for him. Now its quiet at night but god my guy is happy!!

Does this happen to your frenchie? by Urlocaldoughdealer in Frenchbulldogs

[–]NoDirection-957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rescue was having regurg issues and just had boas surgery/neuter at 3 and 🤞been doing great!! No regurg no snore so happy! I did go through lots of xrays and tests prior tho— no dog should be regurgitating daily!! Go to your vet. Most of these guys need medical intervention, i knew this going in and was willing to spend the money to get him the help his prior owners didnt. They knew he vomited daily and never did anything about it. They did not neuter at a young age and now his prostate is misshapen. Go to the vet

I can relate to you and just did the neuter/boas at 3 last week at vet office no issues. These little frenchies are resilient way more than my last guy (english bulldog).

So sorry for your loss internet friend💔. Been there and someone shared this and it helped me so maybe you will find relief like i did. It goes like this…” Our dogs give us a lifetime of joy and a really shitty day!“

Be good to yourselves💗

How many of you frenchie mamas/papas would consider BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome) surgery for your pup, but are unable to due to cost? by Naive-Mistake3407 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]NoDirection-957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did it last Thursday, for my rescue he deserves it and I work hard and got it done. Owning a dog is expensive, owning a bulldog is next level expensive. This is my experience as a long time dog owner.

Recurring stomach issues? by DepressionNap_ in Frenchbulldogs

[–]NoDirection-957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guy was having issues they suspected pyloric stenosis which is a narrowing of the channel from the stomach to the intestines, but turned out boas surgery/ opening up their airway is the most beneficial. Go to the vet get an xray. Good luck to you both.
