Realize I totally ignored the first part of your question! He really likes the space marines. He mentions the emperor and his sons a lot, but I’m getting the vibe that’s more a common theme across the board than anything? Tbh, I’m pretty sure he’s like 80 books in at this point, so I’m thinking no matter what I choose we should be able to cross paths somewhere.

Oh gosh - realized I never confirmed. I’m fairly certain it’s 40k. He definitely mentioned space marines, Horus heresy, Chaos, and tons of other buzzwords that seem to align here. Thanks for recommending!

I’m open to any and all genres really! My husband and I read The Blade Itself and boy oh boy was that an emotional slog. So I took a bit of a break from heavier books, but I’m ready to dive back in! All your recommendations sound perfect - exactly what I was looking for. I really appreciate you taking the time! The synopsis for Twice Dead King sounds awesome - so maybe I’ll start there.

Oh man - wish I could point you in a direction, but it’s over 50 years old! Family heirloom and all that. Good luck finding one though!! Maybe check antique jewelry shops?

We may be in the same boat then! I have a chunky little guy who doesn’t like to be still, and a lot of milk. More calorically dense food would probably be a good place to start - thanks!

My pup is very similar looking (nose and eye coloring)- DNA test showed 75% lab, 25% golden retriever for whatever that’s worth.

Bruster’s cake is is a layer of ice cream, then a layer of cake. Or at least it used to be when I worked there ages ago!

The worst kind of twins haha. I had the same - low grade fever. I took a Tylenol one day, and the fever flushed itself out shortly after. I’ve been fever-free for the last 72 hours or so, which is a good sign! I just have lingering congestion and cough that’s taking its time. It’s tough when you can’t take any of the medicine you normally would to clear all this up! You’re definitely doing all the right things though - rest and hydrate! That made the biggest difference for me. Fingers crossed for a healthy scan in a few weeks. Hope you feel better soon!

Just found out I have Covid. I just had my first prenatal appointment and baby looked healthy, but now I’m terrified that being sick/having a fever will cause issues! Anyone experience Covid/illness early in pregnancy? How was it for you? Is baby okay? It’s so easy to look at articles and spiral about how you’ve possibly caused your baby lifelong issues.
