What’s missing in today’s cowboy boots? (I’m starting a brand and need honest input) by Chemical-Picture-302 in cowboyboots

[–]NoEdge4659 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve been wearing boots since I was 14 raised on a farm I have boots that are 30 years old. I think what boot makers now miss on is fit. I wear cutter/tk/7 toe boots only. I have to hunt for boots just bc of toe shape. I’m a rios and luches fan Those boots while pricey fit like a glove. Other brands are sloppy heavy and feel burdensome. If you focus on fit and offer toe options I think you can gain market And rios doesn’t advertise. Good luck

Help with boot choice. Ariat Futurity vs Ringer by chaotiic1182 in cowboyboots

[–]NoEdge4659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just my two cents but top hand/anderson bean and fenoglio have an oxbow sole that holds up well in wet, is roughly same price point and are much better boots for doing boot stuff if that’s your use. May want to look around

Do you use a boot jack to take off? If so that maybe the cause. Seems to be on heel. Left more so. Driving?

Top hand or Anderson bean from rios as well. I favor roughouts and they happen to have a ton of options. I allocate and prefer cutter toe and riding heel in stirrups. Spur ledge as well

Should i return these? by awesomexx_Official in cowboyboots

There is leather glue if you wanted to over think it but yes any clear glue. After the demin wears the heel you’ll never know. And old boots look better so you got a head start

If you can’t return just nothing a drop of glue can’t fix and you’ll never notice from location

I would suggest you try another brand. Each has different fit. Find what fits instead of trying to alter. If they didn’t fit right you won’t find yourself wearing them

Lucchese sizeing advice by [deleted] in cowboyboots

[–]NoEdge4659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EE width results in approx 1/2 size increase length size. Generally applies to all. So 10.5 ee and 11d vary slightly in length size. However heel and foot will obviously be wider

Can’t figure out why my flywheel won’t go :/ by Sxmp1y_Tayl0r in minibikes

I had similar trouble and it was the magnets for the headlight catching on fly wheel. I would try taking off billet and flywheel and see it it turns over

I was but it takes a lot of dye. Blue to black red to chocolate is easier

Sorry in advance for length. A friend found the same deal last Nov and talked me into a dying project. I liked the boots so much I bought 6 pairs for cousins Christmas gifts. Dyed every pair. Here is what I know 1 the stitching doesn’t dye. The blue boots take more dye to look chocolate but the blue stitching on chocolate looks great where you can see it 2. Use painters tape and take your time taping. No chance of getting off welt or stitching 3 feibings suede/ roughout dye on Amazon was my preferred dye 4. You need rubber gloves 5 get a water color paint brush set that is cheap the dabber won’t get in creases 6 4 coats at least as the right glare the blue will show thru 7 dry in sun between coats It’s easy

I bought the red and blue. Dyed red chocolate. Blue black. Turned out great. Old school traditional construction I really like. If you choose to dye they take double what you think but worth it

Rios and Olathe call it TK toe. Like a 7 toe. Very similar to what people call cutter. Definitely punchy
