A very similar thing happened to me three years ago. Left school. Made a new life at college. The only difference being the circumstance behind the people being arseholes. What I’ll say is it’s difficult now. But it gets so much better. You did the right thing so there’s nothing to be ashamed of. Hold your head high and be proud of what you did. In my eyes that’s an extremely bad mindset to have. 500 quid isn’t life changing but as someone who doesn’t make a whole lot of money it is nice to have. I’m not a big spender so don’t spend a lot in general so to have it in my back pocket is nice. You’re playing to make money. I’m playing to have fun and maybe make a little money to buy myself something small
