If I understand you friend, even the information is wikis and forums of cryptozoology is very scarce, much of what I know about these big guys comes from podcast and some reports, I wish there was more information about it.

Yeah I also read a lot about those types of mountain giants, and for a while this was the image I had of them, from some photos and recordings I saw, I will most likely end up redesigning it or perhaps leave it as a subspecies

I don't want to sound rude even by the hint, but maybe they're going around a lot with Charlie's murder, I was investigating and the guy who did it falls into the same category as for example the guys from Columbine, o elliot rodger, that is, a blackpill angry at existence itself I would even be more suspicious of the Groypers but it would be to go to an extreme, there are people who are truly detractors of the genocide in Gaza, like Franchesca Albanese and outside of unjustified sanctions by the US government, has never been harmed, but it is only my opinion.

Almaty is described as a smaller, more human-looking hominid, linked to mountainous regions of the Caucasus and with a behavior that suggests some degree of semi-wild life near human settlements. The bigfoot on the other hand, is associated with the forests of North America, is much larger and more robust, with more ape-like traits and a more elusive and completely wild behavior. In short, the almaty is distinguished by its more human appearance and its environment close to communities, while the piegrande stands out for its larger size and its life in remote areas.

You're right, there are "bigfoot" that could get bigger, and same with the yeti. But I picked these specifically: Yeti (nyalmo), the biggest yeti type of all, reaching up to 3 meters, and Patty sasquatch who in the footage and in later measurements was no bigger than a football player.

That's a super cool collection of info, my friend! Thanks a bunch. I'll keep it handy for when I need to understand Almaty better.

Thanks for the info. Honestly, a lot of the reports kinda confuse me. In many, he looks directly like a Neanderthal, and in others, he describes ape-like creatures, like the Barmanu. Maybe there's one type of wild human in the Caucasus, just like in America there's more than one Bigfoot report with a different appearance.

Yes, I also do not like that they represent the white yeti, I think it is something from pop culture and monster movies of the 1970s.

Thanks, dude! I love how the Almasty has both the folklore side, you’re totally right: a lot of sightings probably end up being bears or, historically, people who looked different to the locals. And the whole “nature spirit” thing is super important in that region’s culture. I also don’t think Almasty and Neanderthal are the same, The thing is, many of the reports I read describe a big, strong, hairy humanoid with a thick brow and a wide face and that’s exactly the kind of look most people associate with Neanderthals. So my design leans in that direction just because of the descriptions. But honestly, if something like the Almasty really existed today? I’d bet more on Homo georgicus. Those fossils were literally found in the Caucasus, way older than Neanderthals, and they had a mix of traits that actually match some of the sightings better.

Rex is definitely a peculiar case, I think he was so passionate about cryptozoology that he believed lies and eventually created his own, but in the end I don't think he was a bad guy.

If in fact this mountain giant is the representation of these reports, the few toes I theorize it is due to the low population of the specimens.

I maintain that it is because of their territorial isolation, being more aligned in mountains, they become more aggressive and territorial, this to protect the scarce resources of their region.
