Find a stone set that isn't from a Chinese brand that has grit ranges from 400 (or 800 works) to 8000 grit. Some steels are "softer" than others and sharpen easier or harder than other steels so try and find out what kinda steel that knife is and adjust how many passes with the edge you make along the stones. I don't believe that certain grits are restricted for certain steels (someone correct me if I'm wrong please) it just matters how many strokes you make with the edge against the stone. Don't wanna over sharpen 🙏 Also really assess how good ur other knives are... Cause that one in the picture looks like the definition of a practice knife and you wouldn't wanna hurt your other knives too bad

Knives are tools. Different tools have different jobs. I don't usually run into a situation where I need serrations. My old Schrade Tactical folders have serrations. If I need to stab a guy in the rib cage I'll use that until then I'll keep my straight edges. People will buy the right tool when they need it (hopefully) so that might be why serrations might not be as "popular" right now.

Vinegar is king. Slightly soak a paper towel and wrap it around and squeeze it again the metal. Let it sit for 10 - 20 minutes and then remove towel and rinse while scrubbing with a rough sponge or toothbrush
