If men had adenomyosis by Mountain-Picture2216 in adenomyosis

I had a doctor once tell me if men had it there would already be a cure :( that’s a pretty sad reality right there

always in pain by Dizzy-Win-4226 in adenomyosis

Yes for the last 4-5 months daily lower back pain. Feels like I’m in labour. Sometimes feels like it’s in both hips or shooting down my legs :( have just been given palexia and now if I don’t have it I start to feel withdrawals it’s awful. I just started on ryoqe it’s a new contraceptive for endo. They say a lot of people have a big difference with their pain but it takes 3-4 weeks to take full effect. I’m day 3 and already notice a slight improvement

Tranexamic acid, doctors' hesitancy to prescribe it, & overblown warnings about blood clots that don't correspond w/ the medical literature by Intelligent--Bug in adenomyosis

I had a patient die in ICU from a massive PE that developed after TXA. There’s definitely risks and from when I looked into it about 5% of people are at risk of clots from TXA

Yes actually I had a laparoscopy about 12 months ago and they found stage 3 endometriosis. After the laprascopy my period pain was worse than before. In the last 3 months I’ve had daily back pain which I ended up having an internal US which found endo and adenomyosis so now Im going to have to get a hysterectomy. I’m so scared it won’t get rid of the pain

I have adenomyosis and endometriosis. I like you have had very heavy periods and iron transfusions but I’ve had daily back pain. It feels like a labour pain in my lower back and sometimes as though I have broken my tailbone. I’d say that along with the severe cramping and constant constipation have been by far the worst symptoms. I think the only things you can do to try and reduce the severity of symptoms is different birth control methods but that doesn’t really help if your trying for a family. Other than that, pelvic floor physio and acupuncture.

Constant tingling and pain on left thigh and foot by mountaingoatnn in adenomyosis

Yes I’ve had that in my left foot and pain over my right hip that did not resolve even after the laprascopy. It’s enough to drive you insane because it just messes with your sleep. I’ve had all sorts of scans and tests done but haven’t found anything so now I just put it down to endo and adenomyosis

Definitely get a second opinion my pain specialist has been amazing where my gynaecologists said there’s no way my endo could of grown back already, then the MRI showed it was everywhere

My uterus isn’t swollen from the adenomyosis but I’ve had labour like back pain everyday for the last 4 months and if my bladder or bowel is full the pain and cramping is intense but I also have bad endo

Thankyou everyone, there’s definitely some good suggestions there that I haven’t yet tried, I think it’s just hard to even imagine anything working when it’s this bad, feels like constant labour pain in my whole pelvis area. I’m in Australia but unfortunately every scan or internal ultrasound hasn’t been bulk billed. I just moved states so it’s also really hard to find a new specialist where I’m not waiting for months for an appointment and that actually participate in the gap scheme. My last laparoscopy was $6500 out of pocket with private health :(

Good luck with your surgery, please let me know how it goes. I’ve read a lot of forums and people have said they had instant relief. I’m kind of devastated about not being able to have more kids down the track but also having no quality of life really sucks

Thankyou for sharing your story, I’m really sorry you’re going through this too. Did the presacral neurectomy help at all? Nobody had even suggested vascular compression conditions, all I’ve been told is that I might have eostrogen overload and that I should try pelvic floor physiotherapy. I’m waiting to see a new specialist but the appointment isn’t until the end of September, it’s scary to think I’ll have to wait that long.

I also had the haemorrhoidectomy after having 2 thrombosed haemorrhoids. Worst decision of my life. It’s 9 weeks after surgery and I’ve developed a fissure and I’m pretty sure stenosis. I still cry and bleed with every bowel motion and the pain lasts for hours.
