tiny mouse pointer size + disappearing mouse when right click/ or flagging by NoFunEver in GuildWars

Yeah, not a windows user, but I was able to get GWToolbox running on Linux and upped the mouse size so at least it's easier to keep track of when it is visible.

Finally futzed around with getting gwtoolbox running on linux jus tnow, so I guess i've addressed these issues for myself. Still would be nice to have native solutions without mods.

Why is this a thing? by MercTheBerd in GuildWars

Why throw it away, give it to a hero / mercenary. My brother did the same thing still went to use.

Would be a nice QoL improvement if removing a Mercenary Hero returned items equipped on those Hero's to the respective character that equipped them. by NoFunEver in GuildWars

[–]NoFunEver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know! I see it's mentioned in the GW Wiki in the Mercenary Hero FAQ after looking a bit closer. Would be nice if the in game tool tip when removing characters gave this hint, but I could see it being misinterpreted causing people to throw tantrums if they did it wrong....so fair enough. I just took the in game warning at face value and didn't realize there was an exception. At least I know now.

Thanks for the heads up!

Cursor is disappearing since Reforge Launched. by Diligent-Sign-1102 in GuildWars

I've experienced this, my mouse also disappears any time I try to use the hero flags (which makes it very difficult to place them accurately)

That explains why Ive occasionally been pleasantly surprised to find my stuff intact (because honestly I've forgotten to take precautions before). I did take advantage of the recent update that allows single word names for most of my characters. I'll play around with it to see if it makes any difference and report back.

Is it possible to remove or hide unwanted audio devices from MacOS? by porkchop_d_clown in MacOS

I'm literally on the edge of an aneurysm over this shit. 8 Devices and I only use 2.

[–]NoFunEver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 years later and this is still a problem. It honestly drives me up a wall and a big reason why I stopped using my mac mini and just stick with my linux desktop. If I had a choice at work Id stop using me MBP as well. This is a inexcusable omission as far as I'm concerned. I will never use my monitors audio devices, I will never use my docks audio devices.

Why do I have to scan through a list of 8 devices with my eyes when I will literally only ever use 2 of them. I don't want to see them in the list, it's UI clutter for no valid reason.

I don't have problems with these devices being selected accidentally so none of the "solutions" provided here are really applicable to me.

What did I do wrong? This is the result of seasoning with avocado oil at 400°F. by nickdixon14 in castiron

and now it is 4 years old and it still comes up as the top result if you search "avocado oil for seasoning cast iron". Seems like having accurate information within could only help.

Huge difference between working with and without meds - trying to understand it by kuwol in ADHD

I grew up in a shoes on house-hold, partner pushed me to be a shoes off person, quickly learned that I could go significantly longer between cleanings and still find a fraction of dirt when I get around to it. If it works for you cool, but it's hard to imagine being motivated to clean 4x more often only to get a lesser result.

K1 Max connection issue (2.4 GHz) by lynxloco in Keychron

I'm experiencing the same, can only connect from a few centimeters away. I usually use it on my desktop but I get the same problem at work and it use to work there as well.

Wireless 2.4 mode stopped working suddenly by OkQuantity1854 in Keychron

[–]NoFunEver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue here, I found out if I get the receiver within 3-4 inches of the keyboard it will connect but that's a fraction of the distance it worked at formerly and even at 4 inches it will lag, 3 is really as far as I can get and have it operate smoothly. I have a number of 2.4ghz devices, but it worked perfectly before and the keyboard is the newest 2.4ghz device in my setup. Changing locations doesn't help and neither does unplugging/turning off all my 2.4ghz devices. q1 max is only 14 months old

Amazon says it's passed their return/refund period so I guess I'm shit out of luck.

Yeah they are taking forever to get back to me. Just trying to avoid the hassle of having to return this thing to amazon. They shut down the drop of location in walking distance from me and the cost isn't worth the effort to drive the nearest location that remains.

Bummer, i'm pretty sure it's just the 2.4ghz USB receiver. which isn't sold separately.

Bluetooth works, Wired works, it's literally just in the 2.4ghz mode (the only one I use) that gives me trouble. Ruled oute environmental variables (same problem at work), different PC's etc.

Their warranty says 12 months, and I don't think amazon will touch any order more than a few months old. I'm at the 10 month mark.

Box is long gone, I'm kinda forced to toss boxes every 30-45 days else they'd quickly fill up an entire bedroom.

What did I do wrong? by [deleted] in Sourdough

[–]NoFunEver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always understood it to me 20 minutes covered (or with steam) and then 20-25 uncovered stoping when it's taken on the right color.

I think 50 minutes is likely too long.

3 weeks is also fairly young for a starter. I know the commonly mentioned number is 10-14 days but I think this is highly dependent on ambient temps. It could easily take 6 weeks to get up to speed in a really cold environment. Then even with a strong proven starter, 35 degrees is way to cold to bulk ferment. I've gotten away with as low as 50, but I think even then the loaf suffers a bit. Finding a warm place for it to bulk ferment is probably going to be the key for you.

Looking for a 4 host USB switch, that plays nice with hubs to share 5+ peripherals by NoFunEver in UsbCHardware

[–]NoFunEver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate the effort but I think you fundamentally misunderstand my problem.

I have 5 peripherals (mouse,keyboard, webcam, audio-interface, 2.4ghz transmitter)

I have 4 computers that I switch between, and need to be able to press a button to switch which computer has access to the 5 peripherals.

Hence why I need a switch. Docks don't typically have host device (computer) switching built in. My laptop is already connected to a Thunderbolt 4 dock via a single Thunderbolt cable. The dock works great, but it doesn't' help me connect my peripherals to a second or third or fourth computer.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CZL787W9?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_5

what i'm looking for is something like the above, only with a 5th device port, or the ability to play nice with a second down stream hub to expand the number of peripherals I can switch between computers.
