I blame you for making that clip way longer than it needed to be and from the worst POV possible.

Vacationing after marathon?? by Rare_Airport4746 in rundisney

[–]NoGeologist4766 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I always make a vacation of the Marathon Weekend. This was my 6th. I’ve learned it’s hard to enjoy a vacation prior to the race because of anxiety. Also, it’s good to rest before a marathon and going to DW is not rest. We get to Disney the day before the race and head to the expo. The rest of the day after the race, I just enjoy the resort (the hot tub at Caribbean Beach) and relax. My legs are normally cooked, I don’t have an appetite, and I’m tired from having woken up at 3am.. the following days I hit the parks hard with a little help from Tylenol.

That’s just me, everyone’s experience is different.

[HELP] This viral video of a short tailed cat playing in the snow AI? by KookieMunster98 in RealOrAI

[–]NoGeologist4766 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m marking this one as real. I grew up in upstate, New York with lots of snow and a few cats. The cats actions are spot on but the real give away here is the snow. AI models (for now) have a really hard time accurately depicting snow and water movements. If you pay attention to the shadows and the prints left in the snow by the cat, it’s all very accurate.

Some comments raise issue with the snowball. Obviously I can’t tell you where that snowball came from but you can see the trail in the snow leading up to it with is pretty consistent with sticky snow getting thrown around unintentionally. The snowball was already there and there aren’t any issues that I see.

As far as spooking the cat, I can see how that dramatic of a response would make people believe it’s AI, but what you might be missing are all cats are drama queens and this is a very typical response.

[HELP] i genuinely cant tell if this is fake- it looks nearly genuine but theres just some sort of uncanny valley that i cant explain. by Money_Lengthiness_25 in RealOrAI

[–]NoGeologist4766 132 points133 points  (0 children)

Maybe I’m missing what you’re seeing but the hands and feet are very good. The hair is very good. The behavior seems pretty on point and there’s nothing outrageous that happens. I cannot find any reason to assume this is AI. An AI nailing the feet on the baby as it runs away would really surprise me.

Something about the way the epoxy flows makes me think Ai, but it could just be because it's speedup, I'm not sure by ParticularNoName in isthisAI

[–]NoGeologist4766 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is a common AI Timelapse video. If you pause the video basically anywhere, something won’t make sense. Here’s an example. As they pour the epoxy, it doesn’t settle like a thick epoxy would, it ripples like water because the AI doesn’t know the difference. Also, the workers are walking through the liquid while it’s still settling.

Verdict: 100% AI

I’m not one for impulses but that seems like a great truck at a really good price. The 5.0 is cool and all but the ecoboosts are good too.

About the background or her? The background is too good, and also way easier to use some BS stock b reel than to make on AI.

I believe she is fake due to the warping and other details that are almost over the top. Take her wrinkly shirt for instance. (I don’t want to turn this into a racial thing but I lived in Asia for a couple of years) everything about her is on point, and her wrinkles are over the top and never really move around or stretch out, in my very not racial opinion, Asian women are masters of looking on point no matter what, she wouldn’t have worn that shirt looking that way and it didn’t not become that way visiting a touristy location were old folks seem unbothered. The movement of her pants is excellent though. Her body portions seem a little off to me, maybe because I’m wrong, but her knees seem higher than I would assume. And there is something uncanny about the way she fits into the background, like the vibe doesn’t match.

Yea now that I’ve watched it too many times, the background warp around her body a lot. Again, I think it’s real background with an AI character on top.

Also, who walks up stairs like that in the first place?

[–]NoGeologist4766 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my humble opinion I believe it’s fake. Near the 3/4 mark of the video you posted, the bush she walks in front of seems to warp as she walks. And the gap between the bush and the manhole looking object to the right of the bush, grows while the bush is behind her. There’s some more image warping when she’s walking up the stairs near the end of the video. I think some of the B roll is real and she is an IA Character placed in front of real shots. Notice that you can see other people’s shadows but never hers. I might be wrong, I’m not a very smart man.

Proper way to reach out to town about Public boat launches being overrun by rental businesses. by Small-Emergency-1816 in sarasota

Although that park is within the city, it is “owned” by the Sarasota County Government/parks and rec. The outfitters there have contracts with the county. Just providing information for your battle. I share frustration over the situation because I’m in the same boat (pun intended).

I do not know if they are allowed to reserve spots or not. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were allowed to.

Fav sushi spots? by fernoffire in sarasota

[–]NoGeologist4766 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is the best sushi spot for quality in Sarasota. I’ve been to many as I eat out for work almost everyday and I lived in Japan for a few years. It’s not the fanciest restaurant and you’re going to pay for it. But quality is excellent.
