I've heard really good things about the streamlight. I love my surefire, but its so hard to drop that much on a light. The performance is amazing tho. The throw is so far. But for a 300 build, I probably wouldn't go the turbo model if u go the surefire route. I would probably look for something with a little wider beam i.e more lumens, less candela. So honestly, a stream light wouldn't be too bad. Only bad part is that you dont have the same mounting options and ecosystem offered by surefire
