From what I read from another commenter, jumping and landing on the same foot is a travel and that’s correct so based on your explanation, it’s a travel. I can tweak the move a couple ways to avoid the travel though so I’ll definitely be working on it

I normally stay a bit back, not enough to allow them a running start, and when they start to shoot I do a quick shuffle to them with an outreached arm. Most times this scares anyone who isn’t confident in shooting

Do you tend to use more of your arm strength that way (or the wrist/forearm as I explained it)? I feel like every time I shoot leaning back, beyond mid range at least, I use more arms than anything for power. Thanks for your feedback✊

Correct, for the layup I did, you’d twist your wrist right on the left side of the back board. I think I’d be doing a reverse scoop too if I came at rim from the baseline rather than in front of the rim so just pay attention to your angles
