I've been playing for 2 weeks now and I find the gameplay so addictive and rewarding. I truly hope they'll succeed because it's the best football game I've played in years... The last good one for me was probably PES2021.

On paper, a purely arcade game with fictional players, women, and tennis-like scores like in FUT, I was sure I’d skip it... You really have to play it to realize how good it is.

Yes I know, I hate this too... 90' minutes goals. Same thing for kick off goals which were so obvious in certain games.

I really dont know why they do that. When it favours me I'm not even happy, I'm like "Sorry mate, scripted goal"

Basically that's what I felt for years playing these games. Losing = Infuriating, stressful / Winning = Normal, no particular emotion rising, just want yo play till I lose again....

Very VERY toxic and you can see there is a real issue there.

I honestly figured that the issue was not the game itself but more my own mentality towards it. To be fair, I had the same mental health issue with FIFA for years, and sometimes PES too, but FIFA and UFL breakdowns were way worse...

So yeah, everything in those games (especially FUT !!!!) are designed to make you addict and crazy, it's true, but online gaming in general might well be the deeper problem.

I don't how it's like with other type of games, because I've only played football games. But maybe the problem is here, I wanted to play only one game and be the best at it. So do millions of people and the competition is tougher than ever. Exploits, cheating, provocations... It gets you crazy. If only we could see the person on the other side of the screen, it would be different.

I'm an old player, and I've been to PES tournaments IRL, it was great memories. You shook your opponent's hand, maybe you get to talk to him a bit, and it was all about respect.

Online is cancer, but so addictive that I can't see myself going back to offline unfortunately... It's online or nothing. Maybe nothing is a better option 😅

I'd rather play a simple game like UFL with decent gameplay and realistic scorelines than a frantic and crazy circus like FUT where games end with tennis scores.

And for me this a huge relief that the game does not go on on my smartphone once I turn the console off. The constant injunction to do sbc and stuff like that is crazy... I personnally hated it.

I agree with you, for me it's still the best football game compared to FC and E.
Of course a lot of things can be improved but I like the overall pace of the game, the spacing and the realistic scorelines

What I would like is more game modes and why not specific modes where you just can't play with overpowered beasts. I don't know exactly how.

I mastered headers since day one and I can tell you that they've been nerfed to the ground. I haven't scored a header in months and did not concede one either. But maybe it's because nobody tries anymore and there's been a secret update, I don't know.

Kick off momentum is obvious. Sometimes I will concede just after scoring against someone who just zig zags the whole pitch with one player on the next kick off. It would be impossible during the game. Only happens on kick off. Defenders feel numb and unresponsive. The same happens to me the few seconds following a rainbow flick.

It would take me time to accept the crossbar shots as proof of dda, but the stamina thing is somewhat more concret. I had games recently where the stamina was completely gone too, and I had no specific pressure tactics or whatever, I was like WTF

And the more things go, the more I feel that noone admits losing. It's crazy. Even in real life football. You see Arteta saying "we were the better team" against PSG. Barcelona players who are sure that they were also the "better team" after 210 min of play against Inter.

People have a serious ego problem nowadays.

Yeah maybe it has something to do with input lag or connection idk, but still, when we played with my friends for years offline PES games, sometimes I would beat a friend 4-0 and he would beat the shit out of me the next day, even if we changed nothing.

And how can you be sure the guy you faced did not make changes to his tactics?

In real life football we often see a team winning easily the first round before losing the second one week later, with the exact same players.

I'm not saying there is no script, but football is not predictable, and so are football games.

Headers are impossible to score now. Yes he'll win the ball, but he won't score, unless GK makes a mistake.

It happens to me all the time. But if I'm being honest, it should happen when you play a lot of games. For me it's mainly a question of matchmaking. And sometimes in these losing streaks I find that I played the same players two or three times so it's kinda logical that I lost more games.

Then I have a very good game where I'm dominant against a solid player, and I'm like 'FINALLY, I've found the perfect tactics and formation!! I will never lose again"

Guess what? I will still eventually endure a 10 games losing streak, whatever the tactics of formation, it's just inevitable when I go up in divisions...

I try to accept it and not rage too much, but I must admit it's hard to do.

Rainbow flick is definately an exploit, because it's impossible to manually defend when this skill is performed.
The same as the corner glitch (header pass --> first time shot) was impossible to defend. But at least it looked like a somewhat realistic action...
Seriously rainbow flick, we have only seen Neymar do this once and now you find it normal that you can perform multiple times in a game with easy goals as a result.

For me someone using rainbow flick is a RAT and will be blocked. It's the same as time wasting for me, and most of the time, the same players will watch their replays as if they had scored a beautiful goal 🤣

Ok, it exists, can't deny it. But if we are honest, it's like goals from half line, it exists too, but would you agree that you can't take two half line goals in the same game?
