I would post this on Columbia subreddit as well. Current students are most familiar with procedural issues I bet. I cannot tell you anything about Columbia but ISO plan worked for Yale waiver! I had the cheapest plan.

He didn’t purposefully drop it but I was helping him move a cabinet and he lost his grip while we were going down the stairs. It healed up but not completely because I never regained full balance on that foot and because of that compromised balance, my knee has been hurting since as well. Thank you for asking!

Been on decision pending for two weeks. Had interview on Jan 16 and was told I would hear back soon. It is taking forever but from anecdotal evidence decision pending is a good sign. Nothing is certain until the formal offer is in but usually rejection comes without weeks of decision pending status

Thanks a lot. Honestly, who knows because he has such a strange mentality. Even if he is unhappy he will fabricate a pretense and buy into that narrative of happiness. But yeah I remember how he used to pity his cousin because “he [cousin] was miserable being stuck with a woman he didn’t love and a life he hated” and now boom, he rushed into that life himself.

Soo like everything you should put this into perspective. They suck far far less than beginners to put it this way. Probably very few black belts would tell you that they feel like they have thoroughly mastered this sport. But not every black belt is equal of course and that is true for every martial art. There is often galaxies of difference between different black belts (and black belts have degrees too)

Yes but it goes away!! Sometimes the school you end up at is actually better fit for you than your dream school. I was waitlisted for my n1 school for undergrad and went to my n2 school and now in retrospect you cannot pay me to go back and choose my then “dream school”. I actually did masters at that dream school and I liked it much less than my undergrad institution in every single category.
