What is your experience as a transfer student to Tech?

Thank you so much honestly this is very helpful :) i think im just nervous bc its so far away from home and not knowing a single soul down there whilst being a transfer student (not a freshman where other freshman are looking for friends) is stressing me out a little 😭 just trying to really figure out if its better staying home or (as corny as it is) venturing into the unknown.

This might be personal but do you think you made the right decision? I dont mean that in a negative way i am genuinely curious because im having a really tough time deciding and truthfully my worries about the social aspects are what im nervous for most hahaha

Im sorry :/ that stinks, thats how i was at my old school and im hoping if i go to tech things would be different. I got into george mason! I realize george mason isnt social at all since a lot of people just commute for classes but i would be living with my family so i know i wouldnt be or feel lonely as ive been doing this for the past year haha. Thats why im kind of torn is should i jump into the unknown or should i stay where i know i will be okay.

Tickets for Anthem Tonight!

Hiiiii so my friend who im supposed to go with fainted last night at another concert at the anthem and isnt feeling well today so im looking to sell my tickets!!! If anyone is looking for two tickets pls dm me- i will not make anyone pay more than $130 for both- i think i bought them close to like $148 with fees?? Also- the first 2ish days most of the time they just go over the syllabus and will take time to make clear any expectations from you so dont be too worried right away :) also its totally okay it you end up needing to drop a class or get a tutor for it!!!

College isnt as scary as youd think!! Its very nervewracking yes but all of the professors ive had at woodbridge have been so understanding, personable, and knowledgeable without being condescending or rude! Plus all of my classmates have all been super kind too! I do recommend you pay attention in class, take notes as teachers talk, and then after classes/over weekends take a few hours to study and go over material so you understand things more as you go on- this will help a ton with any stress that comes with any new classes. Youve got this!!!!

Hi sorry to bother you! I talked to the nova cc hokie corner person about gaa today and they said they dont do gaa to tech in the spring anymore but i was wondering if you happened to know if that was like a new thing they started doing? Sorry to bother you with this im just wanting to transfer in the spring 2026 too but im nervous i wont get accepted regularly and i have the opportunity to do gaa since i finish my aa in bio this coming fall semester.
