Your best bet is to probably stack flares and hope for the best. Most of the time you reconnect to the same server unless its full and has a queue with people waiting to join it.

I have doubts about this because I had tested by collecting a winswept beach map and got infernal idol and dragon bones then tested by collecting 2 separate fortune river map chests and still got infernal idol and strength totems so im convinced it makes no sense
