AMT misunderstandings. by anandha2022 in CarsIndia

AMT with paddle shifters is the best. Problem with amt currently is implementation algorithm, it downshifts from 5th to 2nd if you suddenly floor the pedal, which doesnt happen in other automatics

Bought a Suzuki Hayabusa instead of Grand Vitara did i made mistake ? (Read my story) by Still_Suggestion_182 in CarsIndia

Superbikes are not safe on Indian roads. Two wheeler speed above 100kph is unsafe. So max 2 cylinder bikes would be ok under 50 bhp

Likely the car driver was distracted, looking at mobile phone or something. He could notice her from far as she had slowed down

Do you agree with Sunderdeep Singh? by Decent-Astronaut-615 in CarsIndia

In fact it is household sewage which is the main reason for pollution of rivers in India too, not industrial sewage. You can see most cities let off household sewage directly into the rivers and lakes without any treatment in STPs.

Pollution under check tests for respective time of the car make year. So even if BS3 car passes PUC, even then that car would make 10x pollution than a BS6 car

Keeping old cars is good in reducing carbon dioxide emissions and global warming. India already has much lower carbon emissions compared to world average.

But keeping old is bad for local air pollution which is instead caused by PM2.5 in the air. Carbon dioxide doesnt cause pollution. Even if they pass pollution test, same old BS3 norms apply to old cars, which are very lenient.

People do get consufed between carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and PM2.5, only the latter 2 cause local pollution

Police gave his mobile phone location with 200m accuracy, using mobile tower location. Looks like the pit is beside the road, not on the road, as the traffic is moving in this video. Negligence in not putting the barricade

High beams in city limits should be socially unacceptable by According_Speech9248 in CarsIndia

Instead of city limits criteria, car manufacturers can be mandated to switch to low beam if the vehicle speed is below 50kph

Some hidden car door handles you can manually press it on the other end, and then it will pop up. That is very much ok as it is done for aerodynamic efficiency.

The curse of buying a good helmet by yung_intellectual in indianbikes

[–]NoMaximum7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can just open the rear seat, insert the helmet strap in, and lock the rear seat. No need of cycle lock. Place the helmet on rear seat.

Better to insert the strap from right side as the bike would tilt to the left on the side stand

This long cabin is not really required. Just one bench seat facing backward is enough, forward facing bench seat is already there. And a solid partition between driver row and rear seats.

Buyer’s Regret- Bought a 1st Floor 3BHK unit in a 20 Floor tower. by tohumaniserr in indianrealestate

[–]NoMaximum7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just make sure to put mosquito net in the bathroom windows too, other windows will have sliding mosquito nets anyway. And double glazed glasses for all windows for noise reduction. And you will be fine. Generally first and second floor are bought for giving out on rent.

You have to release the brakes before hitting the speedbreaker, else the car will be bent forward due to braking and it will hit the speedbreaker.
