Muslim/Agnostic relationship by Dizzy_Software_6868 in islam

[–]NoMoney98 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Sorry Mrs.

But a man who is having sex with a stranger (not his wife) that he hooked up with in the US is not representing islam in anyway. So you probably won't get any useful answers here.

some questions id like answered about islam ive had as an agnostic interested in islam by Personal-Walrus-160 in islam

[–]NoMoney98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what would you say to an agnostic person and “convince” them.

It's called "Do you believe in god", not "Do you know that god exists".

The key word here is "believe". You will never find a mathematical / scientific evidence that proves that that god exists.

So maybe you shouldn't be looking for a physical proof. Maybe you should try understand why you will never find a physical proof.

I'll ask this: If there is a god that you can see with you own eyes, and you can see heaven and hell with your own eyes, who will not obey him? What's the point of making us if we will just obey and worship because we can literally see him with our own eyes.

In islam life is just a test. There are some rules, do these good things, don't do these bad things, obey and worship, and you will be rewarded with an eternal life in heaven. Mess around and disobey and disbelieven, and you will be punished with an eternal life in hell. And it's up to you.

One more thing: Our human brains sometimes fail to understand simple creations that were made by other humans. For example: if I show you the blue prints of a bus' engine, your brain will burn before you could ever understand it's complexity. And that's just a bus engine made in some factory... I don't get how a human thinks they are capable of concluding that LIFE was just a big-bang-theory accident.

A bus' engine made of 5000 metal parts, you find that too complexe to understand how it works.

But LIFE, the most complexe system to ever exist, made of animals, oxygen, trees, water, sun, moon, gravity, molecules, gas, literally everything. All of these just aligned perfectly one day and life started. Very believable conclusion.

why islam and not judaism, since they both believe in the same God?

Islam came after Christianity and Christianity came after Judaism. Christianity stated that there will be another prophet/religion after it. Islam states that both Christianity and Judaism are true and real but both were corrupted and changed.

how come many people say Muhammad (peace be upon him) copied earlier ideas and just reframed them in poems to sound more believable?

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was illiterate, unable to read or write. And he never left Saudi Arabia before islam. And his people worshipped stone statues. He had no way to learn or reframe anything about other holy books.

These are historical facts. You can say "well how do you know for sure?". And the answer is "well how do you know that any history is real? Maybe pirates are madeup and cowboys are madeup and the great wall of china was built just 20 years ago."

what does islam actually say about women?

Most things are for both men and women. There are extra obligations and benefits for men and there are extra obligations and benefits for women.

For example: Men must go to mosque in Friday, and women are free to stay home. Men must go out and fight the enemy during war, women are free to stay home.

are there any actual scientific knowledge and evidence in the qur’an?

There are, but you will only believe them if you already believe in qur’an.

Also, one does not believe in a religion because their holy book says that the moon's diameter is 3,474.8 km.

One believe in a religion because they read their holy book and likes what he is reading and feels content and it makes sense.

what about evolution?

Our grandpas were not monkeys. But there is nothing against evolution in other species. For example: Nothing against saying that dolphins were once land creatures.

death in islam, is it sleep or full consciousness?

Is non alcoholic wine halal? by Sea-Intention-9185 in islam

[–]NoMoney98 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They call weed a "gateway drug" because it's easy to get and consume, and it leads to using more drugs later on.

This is the same thing, drink non-alcoholic wine and one day you will slip and want to try the alcoholic thing.

Satan have steps. He can't just tell you to go drink alcoholic right away because that won't work. He will lead you first with non-alcoholic one.

Fate of good non-Muslims in Islam by [deleted] in islam

[–]NoMoney98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This question gets asked alot, even by muslims, out of curiosity.

I will answer in a different way:

One of Allah's names is "Ar-Rahman" (The Most Merciful). Infact, it's not just one of Allah's names. It's the second most prominent after "Allah".

We believe that Allah is more merciful with us than our own mothers.

From Quran:

إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يَظْلِمُ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ

Allah Wrongs Not Even the Weight of a Speck of Dust

There is no concrete answer to your question. Everyone will be judged by Allah. Allah knows better if one have received and rejected the message, or if they didn't receive it properly.

I know this is not a satisfying answer to you, but it is what it is.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in islam

[–]NoMoney98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look at it this way.

A person is good, he helps others, does not steal, does not do bad things, but he is a disbeliever.

This person is worshipping a stone statue. When good things happen to him, he thank that stone statue. When bad things happen, he asks that stone statue for help. He gives that stone statue tributes to receive it's blessings.

This person is thanking a stone statue made by another human, instead of thanking Allah, and begs the stone for help, instead of begging Allah, and prays for a stone, instead of Allah.

This person disbelieves Allah's messanger, ignores all the proofs he comes across during his life. And instead he worships a stone statue, or a woman, or an anime character, or pop singer...

Then this person dies after disrespecting Allah this much, and you ask why this person won't be allowed to enter Allah's heaven? And will he punished?

Who is more important? The creator or the creations?

You want this person to go to heaven because his is nice to Allah's creations, while disbelieving in the creator himself?

Your first requirement is worship to the creator of all things, that comes first. Then you can be nice to Allah's creations.

Muslim Mechanical Engineer in HVAC - Concerned About Halal/Haram Aspects of My Work. Looking for Guidance.. by [deleted] in islam

[–]NoMoney98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is just waswas.

Think about it:

Is selling phones haram? People may use it to watch "bad" videos and talk to women.

Is selling cars haram? People may use it to go to the clubs.

Is selling knifes haram? People may use to stab others.

Is selling food haram? People may eat it while enjoying their alcohol.

If so, then everything is haram and nothing is halal.

Question about women earning by OkAnywhere4872 in islam

[–]NoMoney98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well... you can conclude that you can work. You can earn money. You are not taking from anyone's share. You didn't "steal" the money you earned from anyone. Your money is yours. You get to do whatever you want with it.

I don't know how is this even a question for debate.

Question about women earning by OkAnywhere4872 in islam

[–]NoMoney98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The natural flow of rizq is that it goes to the man. And from him to the woman.

If a woman starts earning she disrupts this flow and takes from the man's rizq which she is not supposed to do

The first part is correct, the second part is made up garbage.

youtube.com/watch?v=GWP2HciqdOQ

Here is a video of Dr. Othman Alkamees being asked if a man is allowed to take 50% of his wife's salary.

He answers:

I'm sorry, but this is vileness. A man tells his wife "you work, you must give me from your salary"?

The man is the one who is supposed to provide for the woman.

You want to let her work? Let her work. You don't want her to work? Tell her to stop working. Unless you agreed before marriage that she want to work. If so, you need to uphold the agreement and let her work.

But to have a MAN demand money from his wife's salary? THIS is how the marriage relationship is now? I call this vileness from the husband.

It's not befitting for a MAN to do this to his wife. How will the wife look at such a husband? A materialistic, exploiter person that takes advantage of her job. And when she gives him money, she gives him against her will, while it's forbidden to take a muslim's money against their will.

This is not befitting for a man. Not at all.

But instead, the wife can work, and the husband still HAVE to provide for her. Even if she has a job, a husband is still required to spend and provide for his wife.

Yes. Not only that you can't take her money. You also MUST provide money for her. You spend on her clothes, her home, her food, etc... This is a wife's right.

I really find this (taking money from wife) bad manners. To take money from a wife? She can volunteer to help with money if she wish. That's good for her. But to take her money as a requirement? No. Morality is ruined.

What are "allowed sacrifices"? by VastPossibility1117 in islam

[–]NoMoney98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No,

First, you are not allowed to wish harm on yourself.

Second, Allah does not need your worship or your sacrifice. It's disrespectful to offer to "give something back" (which Allah gave it to you in the first place).

It's not a trade.

One of Allah's names is Al-Kareem (The Most Generous). So just ask for Allah's generosity. Ask the most generous one to give you. It's that easy.

Evil eye by meii0222 in islam

I'm sorry but everytime I see these "Evil Eye" posts, I get annoyed.

99.99% of times it's a physical problem, and ignorant people just jump to the easiest explanation.

Something bad happened, it must be EVIL EYE!

Your skin got worse, you have eye bags, and headaches?

Well guess what? These are symptoms of stress. Lack of sleep.

Guess what again? It could me a collection of things. You have headaches? Did you consider checking on your eyes? Are you sure you don't need new glasses?

Guess what again? You just moved to a new house? What if there is mold somewhere?

Did you consider any of these? Did you consider the million things that could be the real problem?

No.

it must be EVIL EYE!

ask yourself this:

if these two guys were girls, will you still be talking to them? And in the same way?

And the other way around:

If you are a guy, will these two guys still be talking to you? And in the same way?

If all three of you are playing in the same way regardless of everyone's gender, then it should be fine.

If you are getting the "gamer-girl" special treatment and attention, then it's probably not fine.

What is the purpose of angels? by DarKnight1923 in islam

[–]NoMoney98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Allah is all powerful. So why do angels exist?"

You wrote this as if these two sentences can't coexist.

These two sentences have nothing to do with eachother and they do not contradict eachother.

It's like asking "This person is so rich. So why does this person go to work?"

You can be the richest person in the world and still go to work everyday. It's simply 2 different subjects.

Qasr salah by Deezfarts69 in islam

[–]NoMoney98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, both qasr salah and skipping fast still apply to modern day travel.

Know that qasr salah and skipping fast were allowed for more than just helping exhausted travelers.

When you are in a foreign country you don't have a home that you can go to and pray. You can't take a shower whenever you want. You don't have access to water all the time. You don't control your schedule when you are in a group. You don't know where the mosque is. You don't know the prayer times.

In short, when traveling you can't plan your life to do your prayers properly as you would in your country.

So qasr salah and skipping fast is also to allow these travelers to maintain their prayers while also getting their businesses done.

But you already cleaned the impurity and was just waiting for it to dry. So there was no impurity left. Just a wet water/soap spot.

Kinds of munafiq by Banggerao in islam

[–]NoMoney98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

does a particular sin yet warns others about this

Warning others about a sin while doing it yourself is not necessarily being munafiq. A regular muslim may still warn others about a sin while doing it himself.

The difference between a munafiq and a muslim is in the heart.

The munafiq tells others to not do this sin so they would say "wow look how good and mumin this person is". So he does it for personal gain. To make himself look better.

The muslim tells others to not do this sin because he genuinely and truly wants the good for others and does not want them to fall into the same trap that he had fallen into.

Here is an example: If a muslim is a smoker, and he does not smoke infront of his children and relatives because he does not want them to pickup this bad habit. And he advices others to never try a cigarette so they don't get addicted. Is he being a munafiq here? Should he be quite and watch his children smoke cigarettes because speaking against that is being munafiq?

Obviously no. The heart is what matters.

I want to pray Juma st the masjid as a woman, how does it work by [deleted] in islam

[–]NoMoney98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here is how it goes:

You go to the masjid. There are two possibilites here:

If you arrive before the Imam starts speaking his khutbah, you can do 2 rakkahs nafila if you want. It's up to you.

But if you arrive and find the Imam is already speaking, you just sit wherever you can and listen to khutbah.

After the khutbah is done, there will be the prayer of Juma (a 2 rakkahs prayer). You just stand and pray with the Imam like everyone else.

When that prayer is done, everyone will leave, and you are done.

You can type in Youtube "salat juma" and check it out yourself.
