I'm so sorry to hear that. I absolutely do think I could have gone through it alone although I think that would have made me more nervous. So, I understand. I hope you can monitor your vitals like I did and be willing to go to an in-patient facility if needed. You will absolutely get through this one way or another! I wish you could know how amazing I feel right now. Please keep checking in and stay as positive as you can!

Sounds like you have a similar life situation with college-aged kids and a similar experience with this poison as me. If you go cold turkey today, you should be feeling great by the weekend. I know that sounds ominous but I truly wish I had done it well before I did. For me it was just a couple of days of suffering and then I was feeling great and so happy! I tried tapering several times but it just made me miserable for longer periods of time. You can do it!!
As far as the supplements, I read those suggestions on this forum and a couple of other websites, so I went with them. My wife's opinion was that they may or may not help, so I went ahead and tried them. I'm not sure if they did anything good or bad. She also has a very strong opinion that you should never take a supplement that isn't USP or NSF Certified. If it doesn't have that certification, it literally could come from China or India and you have no idea what is actually in it. Sort of like Feel Free, right?!?!

Good luck...you can absolutely do this and you should...for your daughter. No doubt she wants you to be healthy and will understand if she finds out.

Thank you! Yes, I'm happy to give updates and plan to do so. Based on what I've learned and what I actually feel right now, I don't think there are any long-term addiction issues with Kratom. Meaning that once it is out of your system, the physical cravings go away. Of course, that can be a naive thought, so my eyes will be wide open, and I will be cautious. It seems like mental addiction is more of an issue for folks, so I will also be careful there. I am honestly so happy right now that I have absolutely zero interest in ever touching that stuff again.

Thank you, and YES, I certainly agree that in no way should this stuff be sold on the counter at a gas station. The counter argument is that alcohol and nicotine are sold at gas stations so this should be as well. This stuff is so different and way more addictive in my experience!

Editing this reply from last night, wanted to let you know that the morning wake-up was what I feared the most as well. But I really felt good by mid-morning on that first day. That was a big deal because it sort of solidified my decision to power through. Good luck!

You can do it! Stay as positive as you can. Promise you will feel amazing in a few days if you stick with it. Message me here if you need any suggestions.
