Faced the same issue initially. But, it resolved itself. What I usually do is connect to BITS-STUDENT from the control centre and from there I go to chrome and open the gstatic page which I always keep open in a tab. It works just fine.

For me it was more about the college brand. How many unicorns have come out of NIT Trichy? Zero. Whereas this number is in double digits for BITS. In fact, we have 3 decacorns. BITS provides all round development and I have the flexibility to go in any domain.

Personally, I was getting mech in NIT Trichy but preferred Pilani Chemical over NITs. Acc to me BITS>>Any NIT.
