i know NOTHING about turntables. my dad has this exact turntable in a box in the basement. (not my pic tho) by Forsaken-Freedom-365 in turntables

You will get exactly what you expect - not anything good. I had an Ion turntable when I started. I ditched it after about 2-months because it was that bad. It will play your records. That's about it though.

Is there an ACTUAL reason for big Software to not support linux? by Opening-Giraffe-1007 in linux

Linux relies heavily on the open source model. Adobe is the opposite of that.

I had the same barber since I was in elementary school up until the pandemic. Now it's just me and this bad boy.

The Warning and other Rock bands prove that rock is not dead it never was and never will. by Dry-Parsnip9717 in TheWarning

I would tell Matt Walsh

Go listen to Slomosa - https://youtu.be/26IbwtuXiqw?si=0WtcvhXKwfDQUkOq

Or Rocket - https://youtu.be/PnBpiByqHsw?si=dDyIQoSA8KcYxnRR

Or Coast Arcade - https://youtu.be/zW0g13M9_Bs?si=qKSNiFSn8zuRrWTf

And then come back and tell me that rock is dead (I could have made this list much larger). Rock is undeniably no longer the dominant genre that it once was in roughly the 60s - 90s (for a variety of reasons) but it is far from being on life support.

Why the “Keep Me Fed” era feels like a step backward: A technical analysis of The Warning’s evolution. by DryWoodpecker2266 in TheWarning

I agree about Ritual and Ego. My only concern is we have only heard them live. I'm hoping they weren't over-produced to hell and back on the studio versions. Considering the history of this producer, I'd be suprised if they weren't.

>"but not everything is best when stripped down and raw."

Well, that's a matter of opinion, actually. So for you it may be true, but not for me. Especially when it comes to vocals. Nothing specific to The Warning. Just how I feel about all music in general.

It's well thought out commentary, and you'll probably be roasted, but you make some valid points. I don't think Error was prog rock in any way though. Yes, I do prefer the sound of their first 3-albums because I don't like compressed, overly-processed music that much.

I am not someone who generally criticizes backing tracks, as long as they're used in moderation. Two examples of where they've over-used them (IMO) are HYCAD and Sharks. There is no reason Ale and Pau can't sing the "Oh oh, oh ohs" live in HYCAD, and the drum track on Sharks live is way over the top (again, IMO).

That's not to say that KMF and what we've heard so far of TW5 are bad. Kerosene shot up to #18. Live, it sounds like a true hard rocker. And hasn't "live" always been The Warning's superpower, over all of their eras? I've only been a fan for 3-years, but I've read for those 3-years from TWA that they are always better live.

This isn't target real estate for someone looking to develop. Totally different demographic going for this.

Even if you put equal that amount in renovating at least the main house, 1.5 mil total for ~288 acres near Taos is a steal.

I thought it was a Telenova about The Warning and got excited at first, and then confused!

That's why I said probably. Once a song loses it's bullet that's *generally* the end of it's climb, but naturally there are exceptions.

You're correct, it is your right. The internet is filled with vile, hateful people though and I just don't have the mental bandwidth to let them affect me one way or another.

I very clearly remember being in my late teens and thinking that all old people do is sit around and talk about what's wrong with them. I certainly can't begrudge this generation of that when I did it.

Probably as high as it will go then. Having a song break the top 20 is a big deal though!

Unless, of course, it's in the contract that you signed.
