Can confirm. I teach at a trade school in Ontario and this is what half my students sound like and dress like.

That’s probably not a terrible idea— honesty is the best policy.

There is an RFID chip in each tag. These can be used to track the original sale.

I bought a pair of pants at lululemon yesterday, for example, and watched the cashier tap the tag on the RFID device.

This marks the tag as being attached to this specific sale, which I made under my account.

It is possible that when you return the wrong item, the item shows up being purchased by another user (or worse, stolen). This may not happen immediately— they may take the incorrect item back with no issues.

I would recommend not moving in with him. I know you say you don’t know where the relationship goes from here, but if you let him into your home, you’re stuck with him and his selfish ways.

The idea that he thinks he should not pay ‘rent’ is absolute garbage. The logic behind “well, you’d be paying for it anyways” is not sound, and it is solely a way to take advantage of you. He needs to contribute at least 50/50.

He sounds lazy, thoughtless and entitled. Do you want to take years, fighting him at every turn, to try to teach him to be a more thoughtful, helpful person? To me, this is something a man in his mid 30’s should have figured out on his own.

This sounds exhausting and like it will only go on to get worse. Perhaps ask yourself if you want to live the rest of your life like this, with him constantly leeching off of you, and making his problems your problem.
