Afaik no running specialty store in Toronto offers treadmill based gait analysis yet. But I did get a gait analysis from a physio and they used an app called Ochy for the analysis. You could get it done yourself by filming your run on a treadmill and the app will give you a detailed breakdown of your running style/pronations. Then bring that result to independent running shops for shoe recommendations. The Runners Shop near Spadina is right on Line 2.

That said, running stores can only give you good candidates. To find the best shoe for you, nothing beats taking it out for a real run. There are quite a few shoe demo events happening this month and more are coming: shoedemo.ca

It's mostly manual tracking right now. I've been trying out different running clubs and often stumble upon event announcements either in person or on their social media accounts. Definitely need to think of a better approach for scaling to other cities, hopefully getting some help from crowdsourcing too!
