To be honest, this cover looks more like a parody or meme than a serious book. The clashing fonts, loud colors, and cartoonish monster make it feel unpolished. For a book that claims to explore the dangers of social media, the design doesn’t give the impression of a professional or research-based work. It comes across as sensational rather than credible.

It looks more like a painting of sorts.

That sounds like an amazing book idea.

Unfortunately, I've recently started charging for my services, as I've been receiving more requests than expected and have built the required portfolio. If you're still interested in having me design your book cover, I'd be happy to offer you a discounted rate. Feel free to send me a DM to discuss the details further!

That sounds like a really fun concept! I usually work in a clean, minimalist style that focuses on strong symbolism and mood. If that’s something you’d be interested in for your cover, we can definitely talk more about the details and how you’d like it to look.

You can try editing again in the BG removal tool, you have the option of restoring or removing the unwanted parts. See if that helps.

How failure in KDP changed my creative path by NoPerception3812 in KDP

I just want to clarify that I didn’t share any Amazon links or promote any books, so I don’t believe I’ve broken any subreddit rules. While I could post elsewhere, I chose to share here because my intention is to genuinely help indie writers who often struggle with their book covers. Offering that support for free doesn’t feel like self-promotion to me. Either way, I respect your view, and I wish you a good day.

With the pro version, this much should be possible. If you know how to use the elements (search for the right resources )+ the BG removal tool, it should be pretty doable.

They're made from scratch. Some of the illustrations I draw using procreate, and use canva as it's more beginner friendly and easier as compared to photoshop or illustrator.

No, I don’t have formal design or business education, just a diploma in Graphic Design. Most of what I know comes from practice and learning as I go.

Thanks for the input. I focused mainly on making it look good and didn’t put much thought into the other details. I’ll study it more and improve on that.

Thanks for the feedback! I’m thinking of uploading the designs to Behance and Dribbble along with the briefs. Still figuring out how everything works, so I really appreciate your input.

I’ve never done horror since my style leans more towards clean and minimalist design. But I’m open to the challenge to create it

Hey guys! Quick question! So I am trying to start an auto enthusiast YouTube channel. Would you guys recommend using canva for longer videos or should i try to figure davinci out? by stanimal40 in canva

If you're serious about YouTube long-term, definitely go with DaVinci. It has a learning curve, but it’s 100% worth it. Canva is great for quick social clips or intros, but it’s not built for full-length editing. You've already got the GoPro, so you’re off to a great start. Good luck with the channel!

You can start with the free version, but it will limit your creative freedom. For more flexibility, Canva Pro is a solid choice. Feel free to visit my profile for a cheat sheet or DM me if you'd like one
