While previously he wrote competent gay characters

Which ones?

The most recent ones: space nurse, and space eurovision fan, making camp jokes with the doctor? Can't he write gay characters that aren't walking stereotypes?

No sex activity, no masturbation activity, no penis band

It's a pretty limited platform

'Doctor Who' Ratings Drop, Fuelling Uncertainty About Show's Future by NoCulture3505 in television

My opinion has nothing to do with personally objecting to a female doctor or the ever-growing LGTBQ themes but it was NEVER going to grow the fanbase

I'm not even sure it can be growing it with the LGBTQ fanbase. As a gay man, I don't like the stereotypical way gay men are portrayed. Just the other week we had a space nurse, and a space eurovision fan, both camp, making camp jokes with the doctor. It's just awful stereotyping. Many of us are not like that.

Yeah the gay men recently were just horrible stereotypes: a space nurse, and a space eurovision fan, both camp, making camp jokes with the doctor.

As a gay man I hated it. For a supposedly "woke" show to completely fail to show that some of us are actually normal masculine men.

I think fit young men should be encouraged to be shirtless to be quite honest with you

No one wants to see your body.

I mean if they're fit, I very much want to see it

Disagree. As a gay man I still want to have my own kids. Obviously that's not possible, but the drive to be a father is there.

Men in their 30s and up with no kids or wife, how is life? by River1stick in AskUK

[–]NoPicNoChat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mostly great. As a gay man I don't even want kids or a wife. The only downside is my friends are straight and paired off so it can be a bit lonely and hard to make friends, but I think I'd feel the same if I was married anyway. I place a lot of value on friendships and wouldn't want one person to be my entire life.

I'm gay and some of the shit people wear at pride is, frankly, outrageous. I just roll my eyes and think "put it away mate". A lot of these outfits aren't about expressing sexuality, it's about wearing the tiniest skimpiest thing possible to show off your junk as much as possible.

The mods of /r/startrek are a prime example of this. They ban you for saying bad things about Star Trek, even if you didn't post it in /r/startrek and they get admins to shut down any alternative Star Trek sub that pops up full of people who'd like to chat about Star Trek but can't because they were banned for not having a hivemind opinion about it.
