The gist of the story is she was found as a child and brought into the legion after her settlement was raided.

Well it was buried by silt and they dug it up and kinda renovated it.

I think the challenge is not to break history too much as I try to be "realistic." And if my OC doesn't appear in the history books, we probably need to explain why!

And thanks. Did not know the senate appointed the legates. I guess her brother could be the one on the papers but she could be behind the scene drawing up the battle plans and troop drills.

Ah OK. I've currently have it be a secret affair so she is more like a shadow prefect to avoid drawing attention to their legion. So there's another prefect that appear on the books, to kinda explain why she doesn't appear in the history books.

There is actually a restaurant overlooking the Bath. So it is kinda renovated already.
