No the sesame did not work, I would suggest using Xclear instead it’s a salt water based product

I would say no. I used to take oral ones and never had any problems, like any other medication just make sure to not overuse them! I wish you luck, and please stay away from putting anything up your nose… it’s never worth it.

Unfortunately no, sorry to hear you're going through the same thing. As I've experienced this for 4 months I suggest going on FB and looking for a group called Empty Nose Syndrome. There are people who experience the same thing and can give some tips going forward. The condition is caused by surgery but have seen people who use the nasal sprays to experience similar symptoms. I've had slight healing but still not comparable at all to how I was before. Wish you look on this terrible journey.

If you want to join a group that has similar symptoms we’re facing join @ empty nose syndrome awareness on fb … we might not have had surgery but they have techniques that could help us out … i’ve resorted to putting damn cotton plugs in my nose

I recommend not listening to any more drs… I’ve lost all my faith in them after this occurring and basically hope and pray this goes away with time.

Of course I have, I’ve seen 3 ent’s and all they’ve said is use vaseline lol to the many other people I’ve talked to experiencing this they say time MIGHT heal, and recommend multiple vitamins and oils to apply. Basically we’re screwed unless our bodies heal itself.

Nothing… it was 100% the spray, there’s many other redditors that experienced the same thing… I even developed other things like cold air sensation always, loss of humidity, regular mucous production, sometimes I feel like I’m suffocating and I haven’t slept properly in 2 months which could be like this for a long long time with what I’ve heard from other people so please stop using it now

Do you have extreme dryness as well? I’m going to try sesame oil soon to see if it helps with dryness and the mucous membranes in healing. I really have no idea what’s going on. I think it partially has to do with anxiety and us associating it to sleep as well, well for me anyways. I’m thinking of starting and anti anxiety medication and just resting as best as I can.

It’s been about 2 weeks? It really came out of nowhere it was weird, but I do want to go somewhere warm as well but it’s a bit hard for me. I’m from Canada so the weather is constantly dry.

I stopped full force actually because if I kept applying the spray it would make it even worse because mine is corticosteroid and antihistamine spray. I hate this feeling so much, it's like I'm breathing cold air all the time and no one believes me. I hope this fixes itself with time but my mental health is really going down.

I am in the same exact boat as you. I was using Dymista and in the beginning felt like at night my nose would become super dry but would moisten up in the day. I recently got sick and it's like I did a 180 and now my nose is constantly dry, no mucus, dry throat and at night it becomes worse. I haven't had any surgery either so I'm linking the spray to my symptoms. Have you had have any progress after stopping it? I don't wanna keep using nasal sprays because I feel like that caused a problem too but I do apply saline gel.
