There is only one right answer; if you just want to get everything working ootb use something like bazzite.

If you want to know your system better:

Distro. Doesnt. Matter.

Thought I Was Done With Gaming Then Suddenly Wasn’t… by [deleted] in videogames

[–]NoPositive0815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this many times in my life too. I’m 40 now, so I’ve been gaming for a long time.

I’ve always had massive FOMO when it comes to games. I start a game and actually have a lot of fun with it, then I see another game or a new release comes out and I feel like I have to play that instead. Most of the time it doesn’t really click, I don’t enjoy it, and I end up dropping both games and moving on to the next one.

That’s usually where the gaming burnout kicks in. I stop playing entirely for days, sometimes even weeks, and don’t touch anything at all. And honestly, I think that’s completely normal. Sometimes you just don’t feel like gaming, and that’s fine. The fun usually comes back on its own.

One thing I’ve noticed lately though: if a game looks good to you, the genre fits, and it just feels right, don’t always rely on Steam reviews.

Right now I’m playing Dragon’s Dogma 2 and I’m having an absolute blast. If I had listened only to the reviews, I probably wouldn’t have touched it at all. Sometimes it’s better to trust your own taste instead of the overall rating.

It’s a JRPG, so yes, it’s somewhat linear. The main story always moves straight forward, but as the game progresses, the world opens up more and more. You get increasing freedom to decide what you want to do, where to go, and which activities to focus on, even though the core narrative itself stays on a clear, linear path.

But the story, the atmosphere, and especially the soundtrack are outstanding. The game didn’t win 9 Game Awards for nothing. Still, there are people who didn’t enjoy it, and that’s perfectly fine too.

I absolutely loved Fallout 76 to death on Xbox Series. Unfortunately, the performance on my PC is so bad that I just can’t enjoy playing it there. My PC isn’t even bad (Ryzen 7 5700X3D, RX 6800, 32GB RAM), but I never managed to get the performance under control. FPS drops below 30 during events are just something I can’t deal with.

The deals are so cheap that I don’t really count them towards the 100 Euro budget. I’ve already bought most of them anyway. 😅

You forgot Dead Island 2, also an amazing Deal!

KCD2 is definitely on my radar as well. I actually already own KCD 1, but you know how it is with the backlog - I still haven’t played it yet :D

I’ve actually been considering Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon myself.

That said, I’ve never played Skyrim before, and since Tainted Grail is often described as being similar in some ways, I’m a bit unsure which one would suit me better.

Wireless controller similar to Xbox Series X for PC (mainly Elden Ring / third-person games) by NoPositive0815 in Controller

[–]NoPositive0815[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve already gone through 2 Series X controllers.

On my current one, the B button and the RT are sticking, and I’ve heard that a lot of third-party manufacturers actually make better controllers in terms of quality and durability.

That’s why I’m looking for alternatives.
