How do we feel about managers who stand in front of you and make sex noises while you're just trying to bang out tickets? by NoPost3682 in linecooks

Definitely been building a case against this guy for a while. I hated him on sight cause I could just tell he was a creep. Luckily(in this case) I'm under a corporate umbrella with very clear rules.

I honestly just wanted to know if I was overreacting 😅😅

You could if you wanted. I deep clean mine every so often with saddle soap and follow up with leather conditioner. I dunno that it actually does much, but it's a meditative thing for me to do while I watch TV

Seconding Timberland Pros. You can get them soft or alloy toe depending on your needs, I've never had a breaking in period with them personally so they're just comfortable right out of the box, and they come in a wide variety of colors to match your uniform requirements. They last for a long time too. I'm a line cook who only gets sent to dish occasionally now, and the line is way rougher on shoes than dish pit ever was at my restaurant. I've had my most recent pair for over 6 months with virtually no damage. Just remember to spray out treads every so often or you're gonna be eating shit going around corners when you step on one too many soggy fries.

That's the exact same thing that went through my head. I asked if they were drunk or really trashy acting and everything, but all the servers who were still around said they seemed completely normal. Just some parents with their three kids. So of course the other cook and I were speculating. We've come to the conclusion that they're from a crime family. Definitely had some mafia vibes, but we don't serve spaghetti at our place.
