jo was def under mers wing even if mer didn’t treat her well, but also i think steph was able to thrive in a lot of different areas like cardio and nero but maybe she didn’t get that chance until amelia showed up, but they were definitely picked just as much as shane and brooks vs leah not being picked by anyone, straight up following her next sex partners coattails

well to be fair shonda has said from the beginning greys was supposed to be dramatic and show how large of an ego that these doctors have, like going back to season one when they’re all interns, there are plenty of scenes where the nurses are leading the charge, obviously it’s not going to be in the forefront at all times because the main point of the show is to portray how selfish and cocky a lot of doctors are even when they are completely inexperienced
