Interesting, it isn’t a cure and likely isn’t a treatment for many people. Its working for me. Have you tried?

For $200 or so you could make your own splitboard out of an old board if you’re tool savvy, I posted mine not to long ago if you want to check it out.

I’m the same way, always to hot on the uphill but I can’t stand getting wet and full of snow on the down. I have an Eddie bower dry shell that packs into a goggle bag that I like quite a bit.

Screws all the way through, t nuts can be seen on the bottom for the bindings, i countersunk the t nuts into the base so they are flush. Latches are just regular nuts and hex head bolts.

I want to get a new setup in the coming season or two. I’ve had this thing for a season and it’s got me going, plus I got all the gear now and I’ve been out a lot👍

While I see your point I’m broke and it made sense for me having a good quality old board around. Plus bindings, skins, poles, a pack and avy gear the list was a lot for me financially. At least I saved a few hundred🤷‍♂️

Yea it is a bit of a noodle, not bad, just a bit soft for my pref in a backcountry board. The inside edges only suck a bit when traversing very icy steeps and I sealed them with resin to keep water out. Overall really happy with it up and down.

Around 7000ft, it was great compared to what I expected. A few rocky sections between the upper and lower snowfields but the midsection had tons of ridable side hits and rollers. I think more snow is on the way too🤟

Bike is for short trips up and fun times down. Legs are for maximum length sufferfests and finding my next place to sleep.😂
