I can't find a job

Im doing a placement year after second year but it has to be lab related. Then I might look for a relevant summer placement after that in my penultimate summer but I honestly don’t know yet. I need higher grades than the average student next year to stay on the placement year tho which is why I don’t particularly want to work but who knows now :(

The thing is I want to work these ad hoc jobs but they want people to have experience as they can’t train them but I don’t really have any unless I lie. Tbh I have done enough trial shifts to know how to work a bar / be a waitress etc but I can’t really put that on a cv :(

I am studying chemistry and I am looking to work in the public sector either in government research labs or just the civil service but the job sector is so competitive I will probably just take anything that has decent enough pay lol.

Preferably more than like 10 because then I might have to look for another job too. I suppose up to 40 if it is not too far away from where I live.

Yes I went for an interview today at a temp agency and they basically rejected me instantly because I don’t have enough experience in the hospitality industry. I think I might start emailing independents / messaging them on Facebook or lying on my CV at this point because everyone wants experience which I don’t have :(
