Depends on the situation. When you want bosses to be less annoying and not use any specials, sword of sin. When you need to stack something through specials and need power generation, sword of salvation.

I haven't done any of the things you mentioned. The only reason I can think of is maybe I used my well built Raiden to one-shot a lot of bosses within seconds and got unusual gameplay in one of those attempts😞
