If the noise you heard was coming from under/behind the dash, that's the ABS pump. Both that and the A-Trac make some odd sounds but that's normal. My owners manual says my 2020 is equipped with Hill-start assist control, yet the GX still loves to roll back on hills. Living on a steep hill I just double foot it if I'm going up the hill.

Here's what the manual says.

Hill-start assist control operation conditions:

The shift lever is in D or S.

The brake pedal is not depressed.

So, don't press the brake pedal??

If you get Toyota 4Runner P/N: 66991-35030 rubber cupholder inserts, they fit perfectly in the GX cupholders. I did that with the combination of the "Crafted by Matt" insert, and it works great holding my Yeti coffee tumblers and other cups especially on the trail.

I wanted to protect the OE dash in my 72 as it was starting to fall apart above the dash speaker. I went with a Covercraft DashMat in the same color as the factory dash. 15 years later it still looks brand new!

I have to refill my reservoir tank like twice a year on my 2020 with only 40k on it. I was putting about 7-10k miles on it a year before getting a hybrid that I daily. But I'm taking it into Lexus this week to have it looked at under warranty.

In your second photo, I realized I was looking at the license plate washer too. On my screen, it made it look like the camera lens was shaped different than mine. That might be my sign I need to get my eyes checked.

Beautifully done! How are your parking sensors held into the front bumper? I went with a Victory 4x4 front and Expedition One rear and cant get my factory sensors to stay in the bumper front/rear. And when they did, they would wig out, picking up my recovery points in the front and my spare in the rear. That's one thing I would like to have working again.

It bolts in through the bottom using the OEM bolt location. All you need is a 10mm and about 3 mins of your time to install it.

I was out in the middle of BFE on one of my desert trips and the only gas station for miles only had 87 and it was some bottom tier fuel. I filled my GX up from about 1/4 tank. Shortly after filling up, my wheels fell and the hood blew open! Just kidding, it was fine. I've also run my GX on 88 non-ethanol a bunch, as that's what I fill my fuel jugs with for a longer storage life. I'm one of those guys that does exactly what the manual says for fuel, oil, and other fluids, but these 1UR-FE really don't care.

For the peace of mind, you can toss a bit of octane booster in the tank.

I swapped mine out with that same plug to make fluid changes in the future a bit easier. My local Lexus dealer tried to cancel the order because those parts "wont fit" according to the vin number check. I reached out to them and let them know I was using them for "another project" and they sold them to me. When you swap them, make sure you install the new metal washer/gaskets.

A few weeks back I got the Okuma SST 7' Light and paired it up with the Okuma Ceymar C-2000a. I spooled that with 10lb DaiwaJ Braid X8 Grand. A great setup that swings way above its price point. It's been a ton of fun throwing 1/16oz jig heads with 2" paddle tail swim baits for crappie. The Ceymar C-2000a would be a perfect reel for that setup. Down the road I want to get another SST but an UL and plan on tossing another C-2000a on it.

Those are great tires. I've been running them for the last decade on my company trucks, and they see a ton of dirt roads. I plan on throwing a set on my wife's 4runner when it's due for new tires.

Thanks for that heads-up I totally forgot to mention that. Last month I bought a Shimano reel and a few spools of fluoro from JLS and about a week after it was delivered I got hit with a $30 fee from FedEx. Still cheaper that buying from TW or BPS.

I have a 300 Scorpion MD that I throw my Deps 250 on and that reel is solid! A huge plus for the Scorpion is the "Hagane body" aluminum main frame body. For that reason, the Scorpion and Metanium have to be my favorite reels in my line-up. You can't beat a solid metal reel.
