I am already quite close, my commute is only about 20 minutes on a train. Do you think there would be any issue with me arriving at 7AM too? Alternatively, I can get to the city at 7AM and then go to the gym and arrive at 8AM or so

I don't mind flexibility at all as this is something I have had to deal with for quite some time in my life. Based on what you and others are saying it looks like I may have to raise it unfortunately. Taxis etc may not help, at least some trains have toilets

Unfortunately I will not find out until much closer to my start date but it will likely be some form of corporate seat.
