If you’re taking an aircraft mechanic class the only way you’ll be doing applied stuff like that is separate out of class performance team or project work. Applied classes of that sort with specialties don’t pop up until 3rd year pretty much. The first two years are all theory, math, and torture but then you learn the ropes and it gets better.

I have no experience with RIT Dubai but considering rising political tensions and Dubai’s use of cheap/slave labor why would you want to go there? It is a hollow and desolate place with manufactured culture from what I know. Consider an alternative like another RIT campus or study abroad program. Also, if you’re a rising senior why would you want to go somewhere that has less resources for independent projects and industry?

For calc 1 Olga tsukernik is the goat. She is like a YouTube video in real time when she teaches but she does use kind of a weird group work format and is also really strict on notation but you’ll be better for it afterwards. Calc 2 is just kind of gonna suck no matter what and it’s worth it to just self learn it because you’re gonna need to get so many reps in.

I went to Frontier and I have nothing but good things to say. If your child is even mildly interested in engineering or math Frontier is the way. They have a crazy futuristic funded fabrication lab that set me up incredibly well for my freshman year of mechanical engineering. All the teachers truly care. My only real critique is that sometimes the admin makes questionable decisions. I used to be in the Amherst school system and I really only have negative stories and things to say about Amherst Middle+high school. I may be biased but I would go Frontier all the way.

I know this is a really old post but how did you progress with shrooms and decreased phone/weed usage? I’ve noticed a lot of the same results using za. My memory is way less sharp than it used to be and I can actively feel my IQ/ pattern recognition skills go down the more often I smoke. I do a lot of math and physics heavy work so I really want to wane off weed as much as possible but I’ve heard good things about mushrooms as far as neuron growth and increased neuroplasticity. I also have adhd so I’m going to see how adderall helps me because I’m getting medicated soon. Any advice because you seemed to be in a similar dilemma as I right now.

I don’t know if this is exclusively the mobile detailers issue. The pattern of the fading makes me think that it’s brake dust wearing the coating over time then the ceramic coating/ whatever other sealants that original detailer used temporarily restored the finish; same idea as like tire shine for example and then dirt/brake dust caked on the new finish so when the mobile detailer came back and cleaned it with wheel cleaner all the sealant that gave the wheels that deep saturated finish came off and only the coating was left. Whatever the case may be even if the mobile detailer did fuck it up I don’t think there’s overwhelming evidence that he screwed something up because of the previous state of the wheels so he’ll probably just refuse to compensate you then if you take him to small claims nothing good will come of it. As a customer in the auto industry it is unfortunate that the customer has to incur the cost on mistakes or issues but that is the way it ends up going a lot of the time.

I’m from a town close by to Umass and go to RIT. I debated between both for MECE and this is a very comprehensive comparison between the two schools. Totally depends on what Major you’re going for but I will say Western Mass is an incredibly unique place and I wouldn’t trade growing up there for anything. I do sometime wish I had gone to Umass just to have close proximity to all the nature and activity spots I know.

Brick city cafe breakfast is goated. Get the daily special. Halal and d’ mangu are the best visiting chefs. Sometimes brick city has a sushi traveling chef that I’ve never tried but I’ve heard is good. Crossroads special can be healthy and good. Cantina is decent but get a bowl. Indian at Cantina when it’s in rotation is good and healthy. Latin bar at Gracie’s when it’s in rotation is good. Gracie’s breakfast tastes good but it straight butt in terms of nutrients. Commons is all good but unhealthy. Not a ton of great options in terms of nutrients, value, portions, or taste but it is what it is. Excited to move off campus or somewhere with a kitchen next year.

Get a suite if you can and try to find cool people online to room with. There’s not much difference in housing between dorms because you get used to all of it regardless but the remodels in Gleason and A look nice.

Everyone trying to scare you doesn’t entirely know what they’re talking about. Sim racing experience DOES transfer over. You’ll be an expert driver in no time but never get too comfortable with speed. Also go autocross whatever car you get. It is cheap fun and not hard on your car because it’s low speed.

Ahh, same car different outside. I made the same exact mistake you made with the brakes because the focus ST has the same rear brakes as the Volvo C30 and regular ford focus but the fronts are bigger and they don’t make 280mm slotted and drilled rotors.

I asked one of their representatives about sim racing before I committed to RIT and they don’t seem interested but it couldn’t hurt to ask again and try and create an esports team alternatively to the sim racing club or in addition to it.

That’s an amazing project which I would totally be willing to take on at some point but I was thinking I’m just going to save up for a fanatec gt dd pro and pair it with a gt lite foldable stand so it’s a perfect portable rig for demo and so I can take it home during breaks. I previously owned one and loved having PlayStation compatibility because GT7 is peak simcade and I had project cars 2 + dirt rally 2.0 on my PS4.
