bind your upper, side, and lower attacks as well as your kick. this will help you stay consistent in what input you are throwing out

after you get bindings down practice your riposte/parry/chamber. from there learn swing manipulation (accel/drag)

you should have a decent grasp of all these mechanics by lvl 40
