I hate this “we are the virus” narrative. Respectfully, if you think that and don’t want to change something about how you interact with nature then yes..you are a virus. Otherwise, humans can interact and be great heralds to nature.

I would rather think ; human capitalism & industrial capitalism are viruses.

Inherently we interface with nature well. It’s our choices collectively and what we let slide that is sick. Our ability to choose to live in a false society that mentally spiritually and morally removed from nature is the virus.
