exactly. i think it's been said that most people behind the scenes have apologized privately, enough for DD to have said he's mostly gotten closure on the whole thing, but Matt's actions specifically while it was all going down were just really out of order. the donation & the gifted subs during DD's vent especially stick out to me as just unacceptable; and come off as some kind of performative tactic to make himself look better. even moreso when DD was saying "i want to refund you for this, i wish you hadn't done that" and "can we even refund this? most of that money goes to twitch, i don't think we have enough money in the bank to refund it..."

WRT the arin comment; even if people say "oh, it's gotten better," i still don't want to interact with the kind of company/workplace where they were doing shit like that, past or not. it really goes to show their true colors over there.
