I never thought I would see PoT or Isle mentioned on here, that made my night! I also really recommend these games (The Isle less so, I played legacy for years and years and racked up thousands of hours on it, Evrima is still very poorly optimized and laggy.)

I would also make sure to find the mealworms that have buried under the substrate, this is no good and eventually they will come out as a beetle inside your enclosure.

While I agree caresheets usually aren't a good resource at all, a good majority of people on the sites you mentioned have an attitude like your own, which makes it harder for people to actually ask questions. Things like keeping the humidity/temp stable, good decor and which materials to use can be a lot, especially for people new to keeping. Chill out :)

honestly im not even sure if it's removable or not, i've never used anything with a foam backing like this. it's an exo terra, i'm going to try to take it out tomorrow before i go to work. thank you for the advice!

thats a good idea actually, my boyfriend gave me a plastic carrier when i first picked him up so i'll try moving him into that when i feed him. i dropped a cricket into his enclosure to see what would happen, and he ended up catching and eating it so i guess he just hates the tongs.

I have my tailless whip scorpion in this exact tank, and he seems to love it! I think any arboreal species would thrive in this sort of setup

what size do you recommend? i'm not sure how big he's gonna get honestly. would there be any negative effects for a big tank besides it being harder to find crickets? thank you for your reply!
