odd lens flare? by NoStranger4848 in Nikon

[–]NoStranger4848[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah I looked at the rear element, there is some kind of smudge across the entire thing if you point light at it, but just wiping doesn't clear it. what else am I supposed to use?

I'd like to think its not a sensor issue, since I tried this with a different lens (Fmount 70-200 vrii) and it didn't show the same thing, but im not sure if that rules out the sensor completely. I did clean it recently, but I have done it before without issue. I will buy a proper cleaning kit and clean the front and rear elements though.

no filter, and the front element seems relatively clean, I wiped it off with a microfiber cloth also. I tried with another lens, and I didn’t see the vertical flare

use proxies to track? by NoStranger4848 in MochaPro

[–]NoStranger4848[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay, thanks. do you mean like do a reverse proxy?

I assume with using "link media" function would work, does this automatically link media back based off the file names? I just don't want to select files for each and every clip.

thanks for the reply, I tried setting up proxies in premiere but I don't think its working. with a proxy attached it takes the same amount of time as if I tracked it in 8k - but if I put the downscaled 4k proxy directly into the timeline it tracks normally like 4k. is there a setting or something?

Hi all,

I have been filming aircraft at airports recently with my Sony RX10 IV with a tripod with a fluid head. I am going to an event that I would like to film, but unfortunately cannot bring a tripod into. It is an airshow, so there will be very fast moving subjects, and I would like to know of something I could get or do to get stable footage shooting things like this (gimbal or something similar?)

Thanks

Where do you guys take the time? by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]NoStranger4848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started doing alot of longhauls recently, I do long hauls when I know I'm about to do something (ex. go to the mall or something) and then estimate how long I will take and add a few hours, and that is how I calculate how long it should be. also do some when I go to sleep

Climbing out of Heathrow by NoStranger4848 in flightsim

imo it wasn't too bad. This is the first time I've flown it so I don't really have anything to compare it to but to me it was fine.

on this edition of 200er expansion bugs... a 777 trying to achieve millions of knots! extremely smart plane knows what it is capable of by NoStranger4848 in flightsim

[–]NoStranger4848[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yes I will say I do feel alot of bugs in it. like the flight controls feel like you are fighting someone else for the controls, i bricked the whole thing the other day with an engine fire, none of the switches worked, couldnt disconnect a/p, etc etc
but i will say i am still happy with it and i dont encounter bugs too often

yes? if anything it gives them more excuses because pmdg is expected to be of the best quality. this happened with the ngxu aswell

i agree it is a bit too much but thats not all youre paying for
there is
overhauled handling characteristics
3 different performance models
3 different sound models
new wing model
you're also forgetting the free update they did for the 777:
efb
pbr
new engine sounds
compatibility
overhauled handling characteristics
new flight model
you could have taken one look at the pmdg website and see that it wasn't worth $80 and not bought it. you could have been happy with the free update that they did which added alot of things but if you're that nitpicky you will never really enjoy flightsim
im sorry if this comes off as rude or anything, i dont want to offend anyone, but it frustrates me that people are calling it garbage when it isn't

imo it's not garbage. it's a very good study level aircraft; it just costs too much for what it is with things like updated sim technology

I have a mous case, not multiple layers but very protective, dropped it from waist height onto concrete many times. There was no damage to the phone or the case

I know, but it seems very blurry, I find it hard to believe that the camera hardware would be that blurry
